YOU CAN GROW GREAT BUDS, GOOD AS ANY 1000w BULB CAN
USING.................CFL's................in small spaces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Now way back when i was 14 years old and started growing weed.
i....would.......have........been..........one HAPPY MUTHA FUCKA!!!!
back in the 70's haha oh boyyyyyy kids WWWWOOOOA!

Every time i do a CFL test grow for fun.......it is FUN,i just cant believe
it over and over again producing some of the HARDEST NUGZ ive seen!
Ofcorse i have experience and i can tweek the system right an all.......
But jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez who the hell wouldnt be happy with it?

Ok,the plant grown is an afghan from the old days very very dence!
Grown in soil,using my (LST rig) witch im about to show and explain to you..
Under 3-23 watt CFL's placed over head in a 24 inch space under my table,
that i grow my big plants with the 600w light above usually....

YOu may have seen me do a tread here before,but id like to help new folks!
please ask anything you feel ok,comment or what ever?

AS you can see,i can kick'd SHIT out of some peoples
grows using 1000w bulbs with my 23 watt CFL's huh!!

So why does this happen,let me tell you then ok......

First off light power: using CFL's you will loose power in a few inches
away from bulbs fast,not feet like HPS high powered bulbs do.....
Meaning your penitration into the plants are only inches,with 23w cfl's
it is only from 1 to 6 inches away that you get enuff power to grow.
40w cfl's an higher still inches away get it!

Now lets get to my easy (KISS) LST rig an training......keep it simple!
Well you cant get any more simple than a piece of coat hanger haha..
Here the pics show my rig and how i place it on the plant!









Just bend it to tuck under the pot(1 gallons only) and the over stalk like so!

Keep it simple and your plant will do the work for you folks NO PROBS!!!!

Now id like to share on opinion about hydro and cfl's,i would say NOT to use
hydro systems with these bulbs(why) because they grow more lanky gangly
plants that will out grow your bulbs penitration area/space??
Keeping plants small and a bit restricked in small 1 gallon pots is the best!!
Using soil ofcorse WEED TASTES WAY BETTER ANYWAYS.....

Get good soil,miracle grow procucts are getting cheaper all the time?
Use the moister control soil bag with the geen and blue color on it!!!
OFCORSE i also used my all time favorite ferts,easy and simple.......
Can you guess?

Dont wanna BOAST,but if you think i get bad results using Miracle gro ferts,
THINK AGAIN hahahahhaa........use 1 teaspoon per gallon water newbs!!!!!!
Water soliable Miracle gro All Purpose(24/8/8) and BLOOM(15/30/15) ferts..
Now just a little goes a long way and i alway flush a good freakin month ok!

Sorry about the pics this morning i just got up,but i think you see HARD NUGZ
and the plant will easy be an OZ of the hardest nugz in town!!!!

Hey there!

Plant was grown from seed,naturally taking a month
to show sex after that placed under the CFL's 12/12...
NO, a one gallon pot is actually very small for an indica?
YOu will only stress with anything smaller believe me!

for those that don't know click on lou's outdoor backyard grow. the man knows what he is doing, he's just showing that you can grow fat nugs with cfl's. he's not trying to show a "style" how to yield the most but how to grow the best plant possible under cfl lighting.

Great looking plant you have there How many plants did you have under those cfls, just the one?
I've been growing under 23W cfl lights too - didn't get nearly as good a result as you did but then again I never used any ferts beside what was already in the soil...

Oh i had 2 plants this time under 6 bulbs,but 1 was a mini AK47.....
She did not yield like this afghan did and got some PM mold too??

Point is again,these lights we have here are great plus the COPS will never
ever be able to stop weed growth indoors in any damned closet using nill power just about haha......how cool,how perminantly safe,how efficient!!!!!!
COPS SUCK for not giving in and learning about weed and the people that smoke it??....and with these lights haha try and stop it now piggies...........

No matter how bad conservation gets,we will always have CFL's to work on!

Another point i wanna make is,if your making a box dont just place light so
your only using one side of it......you must hang them down and a slight angle
to get your plants very very close and growing right around the bulbs a bit!!!

Here is how this grow went,first last jan.15th they came up and was cold......
THey had a slow start and kept small so they went a month an showed sex!
After i knew i had girls(grown outdoors a month) i brought them under the CFL
lighting to flower.....at that time placing the LST rig on them a bending a bit!
Having 2 months left to grow they filled in perfectly,bottom branches grew up
to the lights good enough but they can go even higher matching top growth!!

hey when did you use your MG ferts? mixed together? or the all purpose for veg, bloom for flower and flushed for a month?

I think you should post up your entire MG regiment veg/bloom so everyone will know what to buy and how to use it. I've alwase believed MG products were no good to use on cannabis. Well, I was wrong. So the pot still tasts good with MG? Isn't MG urin based? That some dense looking nug there. Good job.

I use 1 gallon pots,stay-green with miosture control,and mg during flowering,my plants drink up the mg they can not get enough,i use 1 teasoon pre gallon with a teaspoon of moll and everything has whent really well.I do not have alot of wieght yet,seen ur thread and thought flush,hhm.
I still have 30-35 days to go i see u said flush for a month rather than 10 days -2 weeks this becuae of the mg?Should i start flushing now then?Just water?Can i use moll and water for another couple of feeding and no mg what to do?Thank's for ur info!

She is a compacked little beauty as i always do
using flouro....this one could have been better too!
By getting my bottom branches a bit higher that is....
Still with my bulbs placed in a tri pod like shape over plants,
hanging down wards the buds where at 2 inches from bulbs..
This is what needs to be done for maximum absorbtion of light!
You can hold on to a bulb running and its not hot at all,so at 2 inches
its no prob for plants!!!.....with 23w bulbs or a bit higher, leaves have to
touch to burn and really even then its no biggy if it happens just break it off..

Folks think oh no it will burn them.....and place them 5 to 10 inches away?
WRONG!!!......this type bulb needs to be placed very very close,even if your getting
fan leaf burn.....you can bend a fan leaf down out of the way BUT the fan leaves are
what your plant gets its energy from to grow the buds....so DONT EVER PIC fan leafs.
EVER!...
TIP: if your fan leaves are about 5 to 6 inches away from bulbs,the may curle a bit?
dont worry that is low light curles.....a slight curle not a drastic claw curle ok..........
Low light curles are more of a limp leaf in the middles with the tips still straight ok!!
No biggy......just DONT OVER FEED let it take its time is my best advice!!!!
oh #2 would be,PLACE YOUR BULBS DOWNWARDS utilizing both sides.....
DONT just hang a bulb at the top of a box side ways,THATS SUCH A WAIST???????
please....straight down or at slight angles people!!!!!

NOW GET THEM BULBS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE,i wanna see real CFL NUGZ in this forum!
Still need help im right here ok.....

FOOD,believe it or not i DO NOT FEED MUCH only using that one teaspoon per gallon
or so a few times in veg and a few times with the bloom fert in flower,it is a bit more
tricky with small pots and small lights,they dont eveporate much at all....................
Water goes a long ways and so does food,you must know a happy plant from growing
and watching their leaf tips for burns/curles an other stresses like low light curling too.

Lastly i forgot temps and climates,my temps stayed around 60 to 75...max 80?
Also the plants are grown in an open space NO reflection,NO walls just under a table.
Boxes will heat up way more causing stretching and they cant breath as good in them?
Believe me you DONT GET ANY POWER from reflection of these bulbs,its all about the
direct light hitting plants.......actually i think its better NOT to have reflectors,boxes...
Less HEAT=less stretch!!

This all sounds nice Lou.......
But you are NOT doing as you say.....look at the Pic of your's Above
It shows 2 plants with 138 watts of CFL around/over them....and alot of wasted light (lighting up the Floor and walls......lost lumens Bro.)
So final yield was over a 1/4 lb.?
And if you will look at your own photo above you will see ONLY one side of YOUR bulbs faces the plant.....
Granted they are all around it....but only ONE side of the Bulb is facing the plant.
One more ? why are you lighting up under the whole thing for just two lil' plants?

But if ya' wanna play in the Box in a Fair "Lil' friendly" contest......I'm more than up for it....say 1sqft with a 42 watt light limit ?
