They did an acoustic instrumental set (Black Mountain Side?) that was sublime. Like you were in the garage or basement and they were just jamming. My memory is of one instrument quietly playing a blues riff and one by one each member joined in and then they just totally rocked for I don’t know how long……each instrument faded away in reverse order

this.. it is very hard to describe it for somebody who never experienced it... I think that malawi gold is great, it is strong and it can be trippy, I love it, but I cant help it is not so mulitdimensional as smoke of exceptional toms haze pheno... I dont know, really, how to express that difference. maybe it is because haze is polyhybrid, so it mixed it together. with too much indica influence hazy hybrids is loosing this special quality, what makes haze really special.
11 weeks I would say for this one. let it mature to the extreme.

Do you think that it is possible to cross with modern hybrids and pheno hunt for the complex high or do you think once the indica is introduced it is mostly lost?
I have lately been refusing to smoke most other peoples herb if I am enjoying a good sativa because I am starting to believe that the myrcene and other cannabinoids are partially responsible for the lack of quality of high. Not saying I do not lack getting baked on some gassy og. But I do think it ruins the best part of the sativa effects.
myrcene is in a lot of trippy sativas, like zamal it is all about carrots...
well not only too much indica, but talk about equilibrium. you cross original haze with, let say, speedy african sativa. you add more speed to original haze effect, and when it is more speedy it is less trippy or less euphoric, more cold etc.. simply it is changed, too much of one elemnt, original haze is just speedy enough to be trippy enough to be euphoric enough.. and in most cases, the complexity is lost through that recombination.
I know it with many hybrids... if you want complex haze high, you have to cross it with variety which will not imbalance those elements which creates that fragile complexity... to that you need deep understanding of original haze, not only effects, but also what creates it. it takes years, Tom Hill told me that he is still learning about haze...
I mean did skunkman reach it through his skunkhaze? sure it is beautiful creation, but I think that he admits that no, didnt reach it... and I think he knows Ohz pretty well

it says mildly, I think thats the difference.
