it sounds great, no tax, freedom from government, no cops, right to do what i please as long as i don't infringe on another's rights, but what happens when a gang of criminals arms up and decides to take what is mine? of course in this scenario i'm armed and my family is too, but will i need to be trained in artillery and tank operation. whats to stop this ideal state of freedom from being taken from you and your family murdered by someone more armed with bigger numbers etc.
while i agree we (in the west) have problems, we also have a great life and before you risk all that for some hypothetical utopia, you better look at history, most revolutions end up with worse then they started with.
for sure people should pay less taxes, specially the money spent on military all over the world seems a prime candidate to cut, but to maintain a society with a relatively safe life with rules that most agree to follow, you will always need to tax to some extent. you do need some police after all and an army so you don't end up getting invaded. you need a roads, hospitals, Bridges, Schools etc after all.
The Constitution will protect us from large gangs the 2nd amendment protects the right to bear arms for a well regulated militia. Not just fire arms so the community will have your back no need for police. We will also be keeping a military just in case we are invaded by a foreign empire. Plenty of people will volunteer to hold war games and train, I pay to play paint ball it's just fun. Not to mention we have a hell of a nuclear arsenal which will prevent a nation from invading us.
Same goes for roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, fire departments, etc. most towns have a volunteer fire department the community can easily take care of itself. We need to fix a bridge I'll help roads no problem.
I'm sure we will still have gold and silver to trade for goods and services so we can pay our doctors. We can also make a hell of a lot of money selling farmed goods to England or whoever else if we demand silver and gold they will trade their paper money for it.
Really we can do everything as a community, don't help out in the community well we want something in return for helping you not really a tax, just goods or services for goods or services. No need for big government, what happens in the Middle East, Africa, Korea, etc. is none of our business.
Plenty of people donate food and clothing as is. I know people who live off the food pantry it's all charity. Same thing with clothing people donate it of course they are usually charged because the government runs the place. The employees are all volunteers though.
