Ive thought about blumats and like how they water when it needs it, its just with the number of buckets and smart pots i run its just not cost efficient to switch to them. I like the idea of coco but id have to find a steady supplier and rig up an irrigation system some how.

Never tried it. Im just trying to avid multiple waterings s day and i dont want to depend on a timer.

u can avoid multi watering n timers when using coir. its more productive when u treat it like hydro n multi water though.

many people treat it somewhat like soil as well n just hand water once a day n crush it compared to soil still. so its a valid alternative for ya, if u so choose.

Ill definately look into it. Ive looked at a few threads where people were using coco and just producing some crazy dank. I like the idea of coco and smart pots but i dont have the time to do multiple hand waterings. Im in my rooms a few hours a day before i go to my day job and thats it. Thats kinda why im leaning more towards the way im running the soil room now. Promix and 5 gallon smart pots. This last cycle i produced very nice sized plants and buds with excellent quality.

Have u used coir? I think its a vast improvement over promix. Its a nice compromise instead of going straight hydro. u can get the depth of flavor like soil n the speed n production like hydro.

Has anyone ever used Pro-Mix HP-CC ?

It's pro-mix, but has chunk coir blended into it as well. The shop near me had a bale opened up and it looked really nice.

a plastic tote with a few inches of lave rock and a couple inches of perlite. smart pot set on top with well aerated soil or coco. pour in a couple gallons of water and leave for a week. perlite wicks water and will keep roots happy.
