How do the cookies smell at this stage? Minty or piney or skunky?

The hydro youre doing, it's ebb and flow with rockwool cubes? How big do your root systems get towards the end?

At this point since the cookies are s1s i can see 3 different phenos. 1 very durban sativa looking, 1 that looks like an og and 2 that are short with duckfoot leaves. Cant get a smell yet but i just dropped them in 1gallon pots from dixie cups yesterday so they should take off. Gunna try some botqnicare and aptus nutes on them and see how it works.

What's up all in the Midwest? I see that things are looking well.

Been away for some time, pretty much a noob anyway though. I will be setting up a 4'x4' 1k tent very shortly and will hopefully have something to contribute. I do recognize a lot of the names from when lurking/barely posting before so that is comforting. :dance013:

ck this out D3C and BIRD....on the scrubber...i drilled the rivets out and replaced the carbon myself then put screws back in the rivet holes with tape...i bought carbon on ebay and for $30 i got enuff for bout five refills...so like $6 for a newly filled scrubber...its really simple and takes bout 20 minutes...and oh so worth the savings...DJXX

On page 310 and 311 of this thread. Refill your own filters with new activated carbon instead of buying new filters.

They use mechanical packing machines at the factory, unless your filter is less than 10 lbs its gonna be a real pain in the ass slamming that filter down on the ground to pack it, and lots of charcoal, everywhere.

To me, having a properly functioning filter is more important than saving money by removing convenience...

Personally i run the can lite 6 inch that weighs maybe 15lbs. Ots really light and has worked for a year of constant use and still going. Im not gunna deal with repacking and the mess. Ill use the 150$ and just buy a new one. call it a yearly security expense.

Also heres a shot of my cookie s 1s . Ill probably be flowering them in the next couple weeks and i plan on taking cuts as well as tevegging whatever one comes closest to the smell and taste im looking for. One smells like licorice almost like durban poison does. Another smell almost piney like og. I have 2 that have a kushy weird smell. Once i got them in 1 gallon pots they have grown an inch or 2 a day.

this is what I do with my smaller filters, but like ammana said the dust gets everywhere if you aren't prepared and you need a tamp of some sort to pack it in evenly, otherwise its dump it all out and start again to eliminate air pockets.

Well all, nothing much to share, certainly no pictures yet (not that I can upload them anyway). I'm just starting a new grow, first real one I call it. I just got the veg tent setup (Secret Jardin DP90) with a 4 bulb T5 fixture with 8 (9 counting the twin) young seedlings last night at the new house. Will be setting up and acquiring the last few miscellaneous parts for my 1k flower tent in the coming days/week(s).

I got a little hodgepodge of things going, which I popped a few days ago when I assumed the worst about a recent order of feminized seeds from Herbies. 4x Sour Boggle by BOG, 2x Swiss Cheese from Nirvana, and finally 2x Piledriver (Goji OG x GDP) x Blue Magoo Bx2 from Mace seeds, a freebie from NGR which sounds pretty interesting.

Plan to run the entire line of Canna coco products, in kind of an usual (at least not commonly used on this forum) passive hydro system, the AutoPot. I'm kind of concerned about the local hard water and this setup, and a RO system is not currently an option. Any thoughts?

Weird, I can't seem to edit that last post, perhaps not an option for new members?

Anyway, I should add that I already have purchased the entire line of Canna coco products (the expensive ass Boost included), as well as the 4 pot AutoPot system I intend to use. I have a nice BlueLab combo meter but haven't had the time to test the local water yet to know what I'm starting with. Tonight after work I should have time.

Okay, I'm getting 310ppm at the 500 setting, with 0.6 EC for plain tap. 0 and 0 for distilled sample from the store. Now the pH is a bit weird, I think the calibration worked, because both calibration solutions tested exactly as expected, but my plain tap was a mere 7.5 (which is high, but expecting 7.8 based of 2014 water report), with the distilled sample settling 6.6, which seems low (expecting 7.0 +/-0.1)?

Otherwise I transplanted the seedlings in to cheap small starter containers in straight canna coco, with 16ml rhizotonic, and 10ml canna start in 4l tap water (which in retrospect I think is too hot). Culled the twin sour boggle as they started wilt.

7.8ph last year, and 7.5ph this year is totally expected. It changes as they change what they use to treat it. Ur distilled measuring 6.6 is no big deal either. There just isn't enough in the water to get a good stable reading. So don't even worry about testing ro or distilled ph. If ur calibration readings are on point then ur good. Just keep it clean and calibrate once a month to insure accuracy.
