Yeah, not a big fan of Lienenkugel summer shandy. I like lime in my corona and an orange slice in my blue moon, but that lemon in ther summer shandy is off to me.

well it looks like we have another winner coming to the stable, an official midwest created cut. before my suge pk got raped to death by PM some mystery male snuck his seed in to create a few babies. its starting to look very strongly like that mystery male was sensi star x pimmp. the pk stank is very pronounced with berry undertones of the ss x p. absolutely greasy, bump her once and the funk wont wash off. literally, Ive tried after too heavy of a touch. pics for your mouths to water at chopity chop:biggrin:

Whats good midwest?! I haven't gotten many pics taken lately but all has been well. Looks like everyone's been busy as always! Some MI strains I've been working with lately:
Guava Chem x C99BX (personal cross) This is what I've been smoking predominantly in the past few months and loving it. A good friend F2'd this line for me and I have a few of those in veg and one appears to be male, guava dominant.

Wallabee Kush - Pre '98 Bubba Kush x (Shishkaberry x Mango Haze)
This was a tester I did for Mos Cutty that produced the biggest yielding cut my garden has seen to date. Stinky, rounded fat nugs and zero popcorn. Unmistakeable bubba notes with a foul rotten cheese, grape and berry funk. A treat to grow and even more so to puff.

I feel like I have my shit dialed in very well lately and am looking forward to sharing more soon. Strawberry Diesel x C99BX, Guava x C99BX F2, and Guava x Ghost Train Haze #1 coming this summer.

Keep holding it down heads. Proud to be from the Midwest. :tiphat:

Nice purple og there, tleaf. so purple the leaves are almost black.

Good to see you back Deoxy. Hope your summer is a green one.

Nice tub, Dsog. Is there a reason you use a tub within a tub?

Your stuff does look dialed in, Kaoss. Well trimmed too. What's your nute regimen?

Thanks Bababooey, the kinds words mean a lot. Definitely a stickler for trimming but it takes me forever to finish! I feed the girls GH Floranova Grow/Bloom, GO CaMg, and lightly supplement with nitrozyme and Floralicious+. I used to run Hygrozyme as well but it got to be too expensive and I haven't seen a decline in quality since cutting it out... Stuff was great for clones though.

I like the consistent results I get but have been wanting to try some organic methods eventually.

Quality hand trimming is very labor intensive, yes, but it is noticeable vs machine trimmed or poorly trimmed buds.
GH is good stuff. Never tried the Floranova line, but have done the Flora series and Floralicious plus. Good stuff. Floranova is a thicker liquid that you have to shake before using? Semi-organic or something like that, best of both worlds?
Have you tried their General Organics line? It's vegan, i think, except for their GO cal mag. Ive smoked vegan herb, it was connoisseur quality, rich flavor, easy on the inhale and the exhale.

Bed grows are always nice, if it were legal it would be nice to have a raised bed garden in the backyard. Maybe make the bed really tall, like a foot or two.
ive heard that mj roots like to grow down, not out, so its better to have a tall container than a broad one, but not so sure thats true. plenty of bed grows have been very successful. you ever check out hash bean 420 vids on you --- tube? He's got the lung capacity of a a racehorse, an amazing paraphernalia collection, and a couple of vids of his garden, which was a bed type setup. plants were healthy, had some height limits in that space but it was enough to supply him with smoke, bho etc. no small thing when you've got the combined tolerance of the grateful dead.

cannabis is a very adaptive plant and will grow however it must to survive for the most part. however, cannabis attempts to grow roots both down and out. there is actually 2 different type of root systems at play. the thick, rope-like taps that go straight down in search of water, and the roots that go outwards in the top 12-18" of soil and these are much more fibrous and are feeder roots looking for nutrients in the soil.

i have grown some very impressive plants using this knowledge outdoors, just by digging holes a certain way. if a person in the midwest with sandy-loam were to dig a hole 18" deep and 6' across, and in center of that hole dig a hole down until u hit wet sand. make this hole 2 feet across. break up the dirt you just dug out of the hole and mix this native soil with a super soil mix and amend with time release nutes and toss a 2 month old clone in 1 gal grow bag that has been topped twice in there. plant by middle of june and hang on.
