Nice one. I've heard that a nice old-school NL#5 is very potent stuff; what are you planning to pollinate with it?

I'm pollinating more of the same Baba. I have several small-ish NL5 females that are going to get it on with a couple of the males.

nice strong males there pgw!

baba, no it is one of three that i made a while back that were kick ass! nightmare diesel, white death, and jackhammer. the nightmare diesel is my favorite though.

ive made a lot of crosses that were good, but those stood out above all of them!

Thanks jonny! I've seen better, but these will work to get me to the next generation to look at a LOT more plants. That's where I'll get more serious about defining selections.

Jonny, I also feel like the Nightmare kicks ass. That's why I used it to create two different strains. Matter of fact, once the kids go to bed, I'm gonna pack a bowl full of it and hammer myself quite nicely.....lol.

WHICH NORTHERN LIGHTS IS IN BUBBA KUSH AND WHICH SKUNK...I THINK THOSE ARE THE ONES I READ A WHILE BACK....DJ

I'm not sure of the answer to that DJ. Since there are mainly two Skunks (if we don't count the Skunk derivatives like Island Sweet Skunk) then I'd lean towards Skunk #1 as opposed to the much older Medocino Joe line that Skunk #1 was made from.

As for Northern Lights, it would almost have to be #1 or #5. The others are so nearly obsolete that I doubt they were available at the time that Bubba was made. But it's all conjecture since I don't really know either.

if those nl are anything like the ones i grew years ago...... can we say "gimme"!:prettyplease:

oh, and if you want a seriously head knocking cross, take the stinkiest male and cross it to a nice deep chunk or mango(pure afghani)

There will be enough to share.......;P

I'm sure hoping for some dankness too, but I may have to wait till I grow out the progeny since the seeded moms will be roughly half as potent as the non-seeded counterparts. That seems to be general rule, anyway. Some are different.

i have a nice NL #1 that ive been running for about 6-7 months.

always produces nice, compact, mouth watering buds. i have a cloner full of them atm.

if i had the space, i would like to try my first cross of something w/ that NL #1.

i can always dream...........

Right on farmdale! Keep that girl around. Not a lot of those left. It would likely cross well with an old school sativa.

...........bump.......jonny, I will try to get a good lights-off pic of one of the Nightmare Diesels that I have going right now. She got so tall that I ran out of headroom for my lights and got a little more heat than she wanted. But even with that, she's an impressive beast.

sounds great pgw.... all three of mine have been subjected to my male for 3 days now, so hopefully they are going to be seeded well!

That's great news, jonny. You know even better than I, that this a strain that's worthy of preserving.

If I can ever get caught up on all the stuff that I need to send out, I may drop ya a little care package......I'd like to return the favor of being able to grow your Nightmare by sharing some projects that I've created with it.

sounds great pgw.... who knows the nightmare diesel and a few outcrosses might just find their way to the bay for more to enjoy!

Those pics would look a LOT better if I hadn't underestimated the vigor in the Nightmare. I transplanted them into the hydro system way too late, so they are too close to the lights now. That's why they're foxtailing---too much friggin heat. Canopy temps never got much over 85 F...but they weren't happy with that. Canopy temps are now averaging 75 F with the glass back in the reflectors, but the heat damage is already done.

My next run with these is going to bring some sickness.

hey pgw, when they start to foxtail, slush them and they will fill out. another trick i like to use is "burn" them. hit them with 1.5 times the normal nute strength and it will temporarily stunt the foxtail growth. flush after 48 hours of adding the high nute levels and they will fill out nicely!
