Back in May I planted a bunch of seeds. The place is a good 2 hours out. I have not been back to check things out but thinking about going today. Closer to home, I got nothing, so I'm thinking that it would be a waste of time and money to go out to see if anything popped up.
It's too bad I feel that was. I love the place and there's more to see than pot plants. It's a day off and my birthday too. Yet, in the back of my mind, I'm thinking that there could be a plant or two waiting for someone to come along and chop it down. I wish I had gotten off work at 430a instead of midnight. I would have left straight from work.
If I leave now, when I get there, the parking areas may be locked. I'm not afraid of hiking in the dark, but there is a steep cliff to scale and I can't do it while it's dark. Not to mention the 200 foot drop just to the left of the tail I have to follow for a mile or two.
My other option is, if I leave now, bring my blanket and sleep in the car until sunrise. To be honest, the odds are 50/50 that there's nothing. The scariest part if there were plants, is the drive home with pounds in the trunk. I guess that's why cruise control was invented.
facelift-do it man. When I was in high school, a friend and I put out some small plants at the beginning of the year, and managed to water them once over the whole summer. We planted them in a long string, like nearly a five mile hike from one end to another, and the first six that we made it to had been eaten by deer. We had almost given up on the whole deal, but we decided that we might as well check on the last four. Well, three of those four ended up putting out about an once each, and the last one was just under a half pound. So just don't give up on them, as there might be some very sexy ladies waiting for you out in those woods man.
I think the main problem is the mud. This place is super saturated and has been since since September 2006. I think we've had 15 sunny days all year and that was in September. Record rain and -2 degrees from the normal. I don't think there were more than 10 80's all summer.
I'll be back. Not expecting anything but a decent climb and trample through the mud. It's going to ruin my shoes, and it's too cold for sandals. my preferred hiking shoes. I do like waterfalls.
Anyone got any weed. I don't. It's been a while. Not till Thanksgiving when my indoor is finally dry. About 10 days till the first day of harvest and I may only take down one plant.
DJXX: Welcome back, and nice garden. A full canopy is always a beautiful sight. Did you top? I think you did, but asking to be sure...
Face: So you're sure that none of your seeds grew? Not even a stalk to show that at least some of them made it but didnt finish?
Sorry about the bad news. But at least you have a harvest coming up; the anticipation makes that first toke even better...
Thanks Chef. I have an indoor harvest next week end. And I am out of trim. I'm glad I switched jobs. I won't be so friendly giving the stuff away.
No plans to see Ohio. Would like to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, but I have my sights set on Hawaii camping trip. Either Christmas or Birthday. I found a deal. Airfare for a week and rental car for $728.00. There's also this Zipline Adventure on Maui. Just opening in 2009. Has one of the longest runs on Earth. Gonna track down some seeds too.
maui is the shit. i was there end of september and it changed my life... beware of oregano thats glued together. ice heads everywhere, but roll through west maui and see a brudda in a short bus. you can't miss it and there you will find local outdoor stoney weed.
check out mama's fish house if you can pay up to $60 for an entree. the view is on the north shore of maui. there's lots of little secrets in maui and the fun is in finding them. if you drive to hana, there is two ways. one way is bumpy as shit and mostly straight. the other has over 600 curves and is a majestic drive.
Will do! My plans are for the Big Island. Hilo and the Volcano Park. I've done all the research for now. 6 bucks a night to camp. I need to see if there are hourly ferries to the other islands. I may need 2 weeks.
