I am growing in a 3x4x5 foot cab with a 400w air cooled HPS. Plants are in 3 1/2 gal buckets(2nd transplant). Soil mix is pro-mix + earthworm castings + kelp meal + mex and peruvian guano + mineralized rock dust + soil innoculants(earth magic + protein crumblies) . Plants are Medusa(related to Misty&White fam), and are 6 wks old and 1 week into 12/12. Plant got only ph 6.0 water for the first month, then a 1/2 strength maxi-crop(at last transplant to 3 1/2 gal),one 1/2 strength microblast, and yesterday (4gal H2O, 4tbs mollasses,2 Tbs rainbow mix bloom 1,9,2 bubbled for 2 days foamy goodness+ microblast). Mix has been a little overwatered, and it's been a little chilly(on temp 72-76 off 60-65). Aside from one or two dead leaves(1st or 2nd set of true leaves) only interveinal yellowing and tip downcurl, otherwise growing visibly daily.Any guidance helpful !

Appears that interveinal yellowing is on older leaves. Sounds like magnesium deficiency. Try 2 teaspoons epsom salts per gallon of water.

Next time around use some dolomitic lime.....

I dont see that mentioned....

If you didnt use it that will probably be all you need to do next time....

There is lime in the mix,I did'nt add any extra to the pro mix,as label said ph balanced, all my runoff ph has been 6.4- 6.6 so I figgered it was enough, thanx for the input,I will add some to next batch of soil. You don't think just microblast will do the trick BV?

I am no expert, and i am just trying to understand an def issue myself (I think mg for me ...see http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=48708), but could this be zinc? I read that a symptom of mg def are curled up leaves like this:

Also, if i do have an mg def, then our plants differ in the fact that your tips seem to be green, and it also looks like it is mainly the younger growth that is experiencing this problem. If it were a mobile element (movable in the plant) that were missing like mg is, I would think that it would be taken from the older leaves. But again, I am no expert on any of this.

pescador, I think my leaf downturn,is caused by overwatering,mg def does cause upturn,I think with zinc(hey that rhymed), you get krinkled deformed leaves.Take that with a grain of salt tho.pics may be deceiving as older dying leaves were removed.

hampserspam, that is true, though I am not sure if distortion would occur if the def is mild/moderate. You probably have read through this thread: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688

So since it is likely Mg, let me know how quickly you see improvements with the epsom salt as I am curious to know for my own plants how long before I can expect results.

mine responded to foliar feeding of microblastfor 3 days, followed by last watering of mollasses, microblast, and rainbow bloom. some of mine may also be from cold.
