MG deficiency

Here's the deal i am heaving MG def. My question is when i am topping off my res should i be adding a cal mag or just plain water. I have never had this problem with any other grow.

I am using R/O water changing res every week with fresh nutes and AN revive for the cal mag supplement sometimes i use technaflora magical. Base nutes dutch master gold. But when i am topping the res off i am just adding plain R/O water so i am wondering if this could be the cause.

I did water change two days ago ppm went from 1500 to 1300 in two days with no burn the plants look good except the MG problem.

These pics are really not showing the def. but trust me i know its there

After reading through the complete guide to sick plants. I am baffled if you go all the way to the bottom it shows a pic of a plant nice and green and the yellow saying caused buy cold temps my plants resemble this picture.

A little more info about grow

strain- pure power plant

water nutes- R/O ppms 1200 water temp 66 F

Temps- day time 78 to 82 and night 71

intake air coming in from outside temps around 65 and exhaust temp is around 80.

3 weeks veg time 2 weeks aroe and 3 days into bloom. Need more info let me know. I am gonna try and get better pics in the morning right when the lights go off take a few to see if i can show the yellowing better.

Hi ubet28,
i can't see any signs of Mg deficiences or problems in your plants at all, Mg probs sometimes show up mid-flowering due to plants roots being restricted due to being grown in containers, that's why Mg probs are very rare in outdoor plants as the roots have unlimited root space to travel and use, just to be 100% sure could you post a pic either outside the grow room or when the lights go off (without the HPS glare)
your right about it possibly being due to cold temps (slight yellowing on new growth), sometimes this also happens because the plant is growing so fast :joint:

Hey thanks haze for the reply, i was not aware of the yellowing due to plants growing fast they have really shot up from the switch from veg to bloom. Can you answer my question about the water when topping off? Should i be adding cal mag to the water or not? I also turned my chiller up to 69.
