Mexican weed?

Still have some gg4 cuts, but probably going to die real soon, Have to get house ready to move out, and nowhere to store them. Maybe when legal can go to California and buy some killer cuts at a dispensary.

Haven't yet tried this myself, but I read in a thread on here that you can take cuttings, place them in a zip lock bag, spray a bit a water in there and store in the fridge for quite a while. When ready, re-root them as normal.. they also sell cutting tubes to ship cuts threw the mail, Maybe send them to yourself when established..

Do you know anyone down there or are you just going in blind so to speak. I would go with rosin.

I know no one there. I just know I can not afford to live here. I do not know anyone here either.

Interesting. Can you buy those houses as a non-citizen? Lease/rent only? I spent a few months there on a short term job I had in a nice little town - Saltillo. That was a very safe city, but this is 1995 or so.

I experienced zero dope there despite hanging at bars and the whorehouse with the locals from work, but I didn't try either. Wish it would have lasted longer.

Has to be bought through a Trust setup by bank, since in prime area (50 miles of coast). I think $1500 to setup and $100 a month. Can buy decent house for 12 months rent here. After 5 years or marriage can become citizen.

Mail takes 15 days to get to Mexico, probably mostly customs. I saw same post about fridge. I have small rooted plants that have been in room in 40's for months. Only need water like once a week in coir. Expect to lose them. Have several hundred dollars worth of seeds, I would like to get down there, but not legal to ship or carry across border. Might change in April.

I would go find a place to live and meet someone that could help you get started, I don’t see that being very easy. Going in blind into a cartel run business doesn’t sound like a good idea to me. Are you talking Baja or mainland Mexico.

That was something I never understood about Mexican herb.

The cartels are supposed to be about making money.

Good weed sells for more. + there's a bit of an over-supply type situation.

Why would they grow seedy lower quality bud ? -- though actually those seeds are often real good.

Have you considered Canada?
Good economy, legal cannabis, lotsa work....

Hate NYC area, so Canada would be even colder. I have been out of work for 15 years. Used to do networks and security for major companies. if you are out of work for 6 months in that business they do not want to know you. Have stacks of certifications from cisco, microsoft, Novell, etc., all outdated. They do not want someone old. Do not want to make just enough to pay rent. That is basically slavery. On what I have after inheritance, can live a very modest lifestyle down there. Have basically lived like indoor homeless person for 15 years, taking care of parents. Only thing I spent money on was lights and nutrients. Was much better at growing it, than moving it, since loner.

In the old days, most was poorly grown, harvested early, and not trimmed, so sun leaves in the buds.

Baja. They have a lot of cartel murders.

If everyone is allowed to grow 6 plants after April, will the cartels kill all growers? I have no idea.

They grew weed just fine. It’s the process of shipping the illegal items on a commercial scale that kills the quality. In the 90’s we would get great mex weed in SoCal.

The times have changed. The gringos do weed better now and it’s cheaper for them to grow here in the states than smuggle it. They don’t produce in Mexico in the scale they used to. The cartels have shifted focus to other easier to smuggle drugs. I’m hearing they have converted a lot of the old traditional pot farms into poppy fields.

yup. seeing "blue ice" mexican meth here now. lots of it ends up in local jail. old boys get out on bail/bond, stuff their prison wallet full, violate prob/commit another crime in order to get shit into jail...does not look like much of a way to make a living though.

I had some friends living in rosarito and the rent there was 450, and this was a few years ago. You can find a room in the US for that. Most of the expats that live there get social security.

To get a crappy small apartment around here would be $24K a year. For that money that would not allow my 3 dogs and other animal. Same price can get nice house, a mile from beautiful beaches and cheap food, and own the place. $100 a month tax for living near ocean until citizen (5 years or marriage).

Might buy a crappy house outside the rich area (where I am now), fixup and rent out. Would be nice to get $1000.00 a month positive cash flow. Probably would not cost $500 a month to live in Mexico, for food, beer, insurance, etc..

If you can find a place in Mexico for that kind of money more power to you...

A friend from Facebook, suggested that area. It is beautiful area, but not a tourist trap. Most locals work for government, since it is state capital.

What is weird is that Thailand has extremely cheap rentals (but no pets) and relatively expensive real estate. Mexico has cheap real estate (outside tourist traps) but rent is expensive.
