Methods for Seed Storage Organization and Labeling

Hey Folks,



I was wondering how different people like to organize / label their seed collections. It can become a lot to organize, especially when making multiple pollinations of each cross.
I organize my breeder packs just based on which breeder they're from, in ziplock baggies. and i have been organizing my own seed based by run, which worked out fine at first. but now im wanting to reorganize. Organizing by breeder could prove difficult as some things have been outcrossed. another option would be to organize by strain family type, but again, that could breakdown with outcrosses.

hoping others could plug in their own advice and methods.

It's not easy! I tend to double label each bag... writing on the outside of a ziplock bag is not enough imo as the ink can wear off quite easily.. especially when frozen.
I always write an extra label on a tiny piece of paper in pencil and put it in the bag with the seeds just in case.
I also have 2 or 3 containers in the freezer, depending on how often i want to access them... then you don't have to take them all out at once every time you want seeds.
