Merchants leaving Amazon?

Has anyone noticed that they are finding less of what they look for on Amazon these days? Is it just me? I swear there was a time when I could pull up just about anything that I typed into the search bar. Now it seems I'm lucky if I actually find what I'm looking for.

It sucks for me, because I can only make large purchases on Amazon, due to their interest free purchases when using their store card. Back when I signed up for the card, it was because I *always* found what I was looking for. Now it seems that Amazon is becoming useless. :frown:

Does ebay have a store credit card that offers 6-12 months interest free payments?

I noticed they started selling used things. You need to be extra cautious now in what you buy, read every little blurb. Seemed to me that was lowering their reputation as a marketer. They also have also been accused of practicing unfair trade in their book selling. They obviously have problems. I think they grew too big for their britches, like some big businesses have fallen prey to before. Shame really.

As big as they are they still have trouble turning a profit. Their margins are garbage. It's been a wild success so far, but the business model is very fragile.

idk hush, I love that site and find nearly everything I want there, we may have completely different needs though.

I needed a shock kit for my car, locally the prices were $179 & $189 (+tax) @ two parts stores, on a whim I checked to see if Amazon carried the kit, same Monroe kit delivered was $106 delivered to my door.

I live in rural rural Minnesota, 120-150 miles to 4 different Sam's Club, 80-90 miles between McDonald's burger joints on the same highway etc... I have to look far n' wide for items I want, I often buy what would be my 2nd 3rd or 4th choice due to lack of retail commerce here.

I rarely find myself looking elsewhere because Amazon doesn't have it. What are you not finding there?

Have you seen their titanium nail setups?

I guess I've only noticed it lately because I'm specifically going around trying to upgrade all of my garden lighting to LEDs, and I'm finding shit for LEDs on Amazon. It's like, other than Chinese knockoffs, the only 2 companies that are merchants there are HGL and Apollo. LOL.

But you're right, I should specifiy that I'm only noticing it regarding gardening supplies. I still find all my other household needs there. But I didn't sign up for that damn credit card for cat litter and cleaning supplies.

I never have any trouble finding what I want on there and order tons of stuff since I live in BFE at the moment.

I haven't looked for grow stuff on their for quite some time though.
