Mega, I feel ya on the rough times. I recently lost all my genetics, in fact every plant in my house, to fusarium or verticillium. Set me back months...

Ive always had temp and humidity problems, but I finally dropped the change on a 24k btu mini split ac to get it inline. 2grand later, I still need to spend 1300 on a 90 pint santa fe dehumidifier.

Even on my current run, I dumped 50 gallons on the floor cause I fell asleep with the ro on. Never again a float valve and auto shut off for the waste line solved that. But then my fuck trash can res springs a leak lol, luckily I was there within a minute of it happening.

Anyyyyywayyy my drunk/high rant is really just trying to say, put down a damn vapor barrier in the grow room, get the co2 burner ac and dehumidifier, and run a sealed room, or at least put down the vapor barrier in the whole basement and get the ac then just run flip flop so the ac is always running and pulling moisture out.

Buds looking tastey tho man. Keep hustling you'll get there, and know you ain't the only one struggling day to day...

WhoD! my man..I am so sorry to hear what you have gone through, truly ANYONE who thinks growing top notch boo is easy is a fucking idiot!

I think the vapor barrier is a great idea, I just want to run it by Arminus as he knows my grow room and situation very intimately and I want to make sure it will work correctly or just be a source of Powder Mildew build up...I too am saving for the Santa Fe or DriEeze dehuey!

I can only move forward and thank you for the kind words, yeah my outdoor really turned out quit nicely!

Truth right there, and thanks

Do that...

But as long as you get the foundation and the slab all over with barrier and seal the joints you should be good. Actually it would probably help your homes ac in the summer to not having to deal with the extra humidity from the basement.

the vapor barrier is a good idea, but it's subject to ripping or punctures, or the tape losing it's adhesive properties. if it were me, i'd be painting the basement with some waterproofing paint to seal it up tight. no chance of tearing and you can recoat where ya think it might be needed.

I just installed the same AC that Who did. Screwed up and threw the remote out, so now I have a 24K ac sitting there. I know if it could talk it would be saying to me " hey aren't you a stupid ass". Now I have to wait for the company to call back and tell me how to get a remote to run the damn thing. Oh and that five gallon bucket I destroyed while looking for the remote will have to be replaced as well. Still looking around to find out what else I destroyed while looking that has to be replaced as well.

A vapor barrier isn't really an option with the typical "Mountain" home in our neck of the woods. Houses built on a hillside in a rain forest presents a host of issues... There are numerous waterproofing options, but they will entail exposing the exterior foundation walls etc... In the long run, some HLM 5000 may do the trick...

Hmm, I don't know much about the specific issues a wet mountainous region presents...

But I've got a few years of commercial carpentry experience under my belt.

If you dont mind discussing the issues, maybe we can come up with something in the interim of a real fix.

What is HLM 5000? (going to Google it)

Ichabob - Yeah and NO spider mites, heat stress or rat turds in it for "added" weight!

i figured as much. i kinda got a sog going and was wondering about the gsc. i do have room for trees between my lights for special ones or mom's though. heard a fuckload about gsc and wanted to give her a run but wasn't really sure what to expect. i've read through the gsc thread but there is so much shit to go through and fake cuts to distinguish that it's almost a lost cause over there lol. have seen some great pics of some though so it's still something i may wanna run at some point.
