can someone explain to me the proposition please?? In other words if your sick you can go tot he doctor and get a script for weed(got that part), then you go to a med club and get weed that is amazing and super potent yet where do it come from?? who are these growers??(eddy lepp)?? i mean i just read you need a 'sellers permitt' how does one get this?? do oyou yourself hhave to be sick in order to grow this plant?(that seems ridiculous tho since your sick you can't work in a field or garden), like who is elligable for this weed growing permitt, how easily can you get it and why didnt they tax on it before(uncle sam isnt stupid neither is te IRS didnt they see huge tax revenueprospects???? Thanks Nycdfan042

Exactly to above post, just use eddy lepp for exaple you give him a contract to grow weed yet bust him for growing too much pot? like how does the whole business work?? from getting the permitt to actually starting your grow operation to dropping off the final product(buds) tot he med club?? i mean do you drive to the med club in a van , boxes filled with buds pre bagged for sale and labelled??? how does it all work can someone explain it to an east coaster who is mezmorized by your coast and their lax laws on herb

Silly you, "who are the growers"?. These are "cooperatives", where patients "donate" their extra that is ready at that moment so others, who may not have some "ready" (growing, harvesting and curing take some time) will still have access to fresh medicine. The coop makes a donation back to the patient to help pay for the cost of raising good quality medicine, and the patients make donations to the coop so they continue to help finance a continued supply of medicine for all in need. And that is the theory and I'm sticking to it even if TORTURED! :bat:

Yes, it is only sales tax they are interested in collecting. Sales tax traditionally goes to services, like increased police protection which local communities say they need for dispensaries in their area.

Some counties, cities in CA that have allowed only one or 2 dispensaries issued business licenses on THE CONDITION that they receive sales tax payments. One or 2 I've been to charge it over the regular competitive cost, so I don't go there. I frequent the ones that tell me it's backed out at the end of the day.

It is a necessary step for federal recognition. Otherwise I would mass protest, because medicines are not usually taxable items. So, once we get the federal OK, we can then protest sales tax on medicine (see, this is just another discrimination thread).

The seller's license referred to is just a license to collect sales tax. Many clubs are already paying that tax. Most sales tax is collected from the customer by the clubs and sent to the county tax collector. Any club that pays the tax themselves probably have a big enough margin that it will not substantially affect their profit.
