This run I am taking the big main topsoff, and leaving the rest to develop further in the new light. The fan leaves that supported those tops go with them.

Remaining AK47 yet to finish: Click image for larger version Name:	DSC00837.JPG Views:	0 Size:	262.3 KB ID:	17908964

I did that with the HOG, with the first tops removed on the left. When the lowers were ready, I just whacked off whole branches of what was left, to hang and dry them. Room light is burned out, so flashlight.

I got lucky and the later finishing SB sisters in back have really packed on the pounds. With them I am using string to either support the branches, or pull them to the side and allow light to reach the lower buds. These two ladies are my best yet, and a pleasure to apply a little bondage now that the other front plants are out of the way. Thanks Reserva Privada. See what remains of AK47 in the lower right. These girls are fantastic. They had a month of sunlight the second half of veg, and it really helped.

This ain't necessarily the right way to do this.

Let me know how its going with the dual harvest. I took tops of of a scrog, and there is tons of under bud. Going to try to see if it can ripen quickly. If nothing in a week, will dump it.

I think it's worth it. The AK47 remains are still making the heads cloudy. I will also do this on the SB plants later this week, and give the remains about a week to finish up.

My biggest risk is getting bugs while I wait.

What do you use to check trichomes? I have pocket magnifier that is not good enough. Do you know magnification of what you use.

Now another issue is my harvested crop of GG4 smells more like chlorophyl than bud.

Here is what the Strawberry sisters look like after I topped them yesterday. Still a lot of flower there to mature, so I'll give it another week or so.

I check the trics (and sometimes find SMs) with an old Bausch & Lomb 10X I have. The light no longer works though. Here it is with one of the 12 SB tops I cut - the light is 6" long. The bud smells like chlorophyll BTW. That should go away with drying and curing.

The bud not harvested is looking better. Will go through tonight and move tops around to get best light. Harvested bud really shrank and foxtailing is less evident, but looks like totally lame quantity. I have gotten 1.2 grams trimmed and cured to 63%, but guessing this will be less than half gram per watt. Drying room still only smells like chlorophyl.
