Thanks for the post frend, thats a good question. It all depends on what the EC is in the substrate. If the EC drifts higher then one would need to have more runoff. If the EC is low then you can hold the runoff of a few feedings to allow the EC to rise. If you keep an eye on the EC from the beginning to the end and you will learn what to do as you grow along.
