Massachusetts Super Skunk

Well , I grew up in western mass and have been very fond of our heirlooms for some time now but this clone seems to have faded in it's dankness a bit . It just never comes out as flavorful as it used to . These days I have come to prefer the Chem . Don't get me wrong , I wouldn't turn her down in any way , I just don't feel the need to go home and find her . On the other hand if she popped up locally I would not hesitate to make some room . Stoked to hear she's available on the West coast .
Ahh, that makes sense. I chopped her a few days ago and when I did, she was smelling exactly like pine needles. I personally love that smell, so I was really loving it, but it still smells really strong, even while drying. Now the skunk smell is coming out.

Here's my dried main cola.

Sure looks the part , good job ! . How's the smoke ? .
Really really good. It's only been in the jar for a day and a half and it's already smooth. I'm really happy with the result. I think I'm going to repot my clones to see if I can get close to a full run of it. They are probably big enough to flower in like a week, but I want to give them a little more time (plus I don't have enough room or light yet - well, room anyway, lol). Right now my tent is full of overvegged Peak-19, one giant white widow (I almost flowered her at the same time as I flowered the MSS, but I thought I'd try to get more light on the girls, so I kept vegging - I think like 12 weeks worth under a 400W cmh in a 2 gal smartpot), and one med bagseed that I believe is also a skunk, though I'm not 100% sure - it is also vegged about the same amount of time. I sprayed dutchmaster reverse about a week ago as a preventative, since it's a bagseed. I'll probably hit it one more time to be sure.

darookie2000 - thanks for sharing this! Im currently growing this strain and today is exactly 8 weeks. Mine look like they could easily go another 2 weeks? How long did you let yours go for? Also, i noticed in some of your earlier pics that it looks like you had some leaf edges that were lookin a lil crispy...im wondering if you noticed any other symptoms in any of the leafs during this grow? Im asking because, my MSS has been been showing all kinds of weird leaf stuff (crinkling, burnt tips/edges etc)...

anyways, looks great! thanks again for sharing!

I cut at about 62 or 63 days. I could probably have taken a bit longer, but I really needed the space because my veg area was getting overcrowded and they were starting to suffer. I had a tiny bit of burn in the margins, I think I overdid the calcium a bit which locked out a little K, but other than that I didn't have any major issues. Are you totally light tight? I got some curling leaves on a cut that I took during flower but no leaf issues otherwise. What are you feeding?

Hey IC people. I am a year late on this thread but I was wondering has anyone grown MSS outdoor?

MSS can really yield heavily outdoor...I like it indoor too but it takes a little skill to get it just right. For me 1 out of 3 runs was incredible, the other 2 were nice but not at the same level. It can be some very tasty herb. Old thread but what the hay

Ya i ended up pulling 7 pounds of 6 plants so not to bad. But the bud didn't turn out that great. I also had to take the plant into november so I had some budrot issues. All in all fuck that strain I am growing nothing but elite strains now. MSS got kicked out of here soon as the outdoor was done. There are some pictures on my profile if you want to see them.

This cut was given to me like Massachusetts Super Skunk. I would say there are some similarities with ECSD but who knows...
The terpenes are really unique - sour cleaner/skunk/little sweet in the background. Wish to have enough money to do parentage/relatedness analysis...
