Otto , I add the Great white when I get bumps and it definitely makes a difference . The root growth is insane !

I'll take roots anyway I can take them boys, but if I have a choice a EZ-cloner is the best way IMO...keeps the plants growing while rooting which makes for an easy transition when you transplant, as long as you can keep your temps in check you should get roots every time with at least 75% success rate, at least in my experiences. I noticed 2 stems with brown rot in the EZ-C. Thats cauzed from a few different issues. I here all the time about water chillers but all you need is 2 frozen 16oz water bottles. When the temps get warm under the hood, put in the 2 bottles and cool off that water.

Also when you see a clone struggling with soft, brown, stem-rot underneath the hood, recut the stem above the rot as soon as you see it struggling. This should help get you to a 99% success rate.

I use Clonex rooting gel
1 bottle of Olivias clone solution
1 tsp Dyna-Grow's Pro-Tekt
4 drops SuperThrive
PH @ 5.8
Rez Temps @ around a steady 72.
If I have a strain thats hard to root I change the water after 10 days or it will all get stem rot.
I will put in 1 tbs of FF GrowBig if I notice yellowing of any leaves towards end of rooting.

HUGE TIP:
Buy the biggest 2 line air pump @ Wal-Fart and 2 - 12" bubble stones to replace that stupid air line it comes with. Waaay better results as well. Much more air/oxygen infused into the water and it keeps the water longer from getting stagnant. Put 1 bubble stone in the front and 1 in the back.

Nice alone looking great... I must have an older version of the EZ-cloner, All mine came with was the manifold and the mag-drive pump no airstone or anything like that.
IMO keeping consistent rez temps and keeping everything sterile counts for 99% of the success rate when it comes to cloning.

Alone - that is pretty much exactly what I use in my EZ-C. The super thrive actually makes quite a difference I've noticed. The 2 frozen water bottles is a freakin great idea... Damn I feel like an idiot not thinking of that, lol.

No.....you have the new version. EZ clone eliminated the air pump because it is not needed. Your solution gets air by its misting action. I never saw any difference in having the pump in or out.

Its also believed by some that the air pumps actually can bring in bacteria from the outside air its pumping into the solution. I dont know this for sure.....I dont get into the crazy mumbo jumbo.

Also.....i ve always just used water phd. Once i see roots i then throw in whatever stuff I use for roots. Ottos cleaning method is exactly what the manufacturer recommends to do after each use. Warm water with 1, 2, or 3 cups of bleach dedending on the size unit you have. Soaking plugs in same solution and rinsing to high heavens cuz bleach will inhibit rooting.

Ph and temps are the key with the ez. I just get the water piss yellow or as close to 5.8 as my human eye can tell.

cloning gel is also a waste with the ezcloner ,it gets washed away instantly .

tap water
half strength bloom nutes
roots excel
I use ice packs to keep the water temps in check and change the water every 4 days .
once roots start a little great white and its on !

I get the same results when I some times use riot rooters , with the riot's I use the cheap home D rooting powder . Gels are a waste of $$

So much stress over cloning. I literally cut it, dip it in a crappy root powder, stick it in a beer cup full of coco, and feed it about .8-1 ec. Usually by the third time I need to water it the clone is fully rooted (I let it get close to dry in between waterings). No domes, no worrying about anything, 99% success.

Anything smaller than the 120 may not come with an air pump and air line.
The 120 site comes with an air pump with a single line connection and a long black line with tiny holes in it for air bubbles. This thing sucked and I noticed the 20 gallons of water in my 120 site was getting stagnant and I got 50% stem rot. I looked at the bubble line and it was clogged all over the place from the Olivias Clone Solution. Less bubbles = stagnant water.

So I bought/customized my EZ-C 120 with a big 2 line air pump and 2 - 12" bubble stones. Never lost a clone again that didnt deserve it anyways.:tiphat:

I had to be told to do that as well.LOL. I thought I had the basics down pretty good until I actually started to grow. Ive made every single mistake in the book except get caught. LOL.
MJ sure knows how to throw a new grower a curve ball.
I learn something new all the time from this site, and Im glad to be a part of the learning process with all you guys.

you guys are doing some big plants! i need to improve on my skills. i currently have been rocking blueberry sativa this past year and dont plan on losing her! i drove all the way to toronto to pick up the clone from a retiring hippie named SALTY. i plan on showing its progress this round on here if its ok with you guys? it takes me 11 weeks to get what i consider optimal weight and high conditions. damn plant is by far the most vigourus plant i ever grown!it was nerve racking getting the tray thru customs but it was pretty easy. i plan on letting the clone get around in mass. so other growers can experience her. the chems i see in this thread look amazing and kudos to the growers. i have yet to come across any of the smoke but have heard it has reached my area.

cloning in coco takes up allot of space when you need 80 + cuts , Coco does work great for cloning .

I'll second that ^^ I use coco hempy's so i figured why not just try and clone in coco and take that little plug and t/p it. I failed terribly and can't get anything to root in coco. so let's just say its not for me.

80+ clones can be downsized to 4 ice tube trays inside 4 shoe box size containers....it would actually be more than 80 and take up a total of 2.5'x 16 inches, or less depending on how you arrange them, or basically the same size as an EZ C, and for a total of $25

TB, killer looking plant man best of luck...20 gal smart pot that thing is gonna blow the fuck up. I'd keeping topping it and bending it over let that main stalk get all fat and beast, sound like you'll need all the room you got their, can't wait to see that near the end of flowering.

That pic is from the centenial seed site. I got it from google images.

They are called tree seed pots, and they are designed for propagation of deep rooted plants. Same idea as the ice cube trays, only this is what a pro would use. FOr a medium, I use Pro Mix HP w/ myco, mainly because it has a sphagmum base, which contains fulvic acid which promotes rooting. I also soak the medium in aloe water, for the salicylic acid, saponins, etc.
