I hate to be this guy, but even if Mass does pass the law, I highly doubt the Federal government is gonna let Mass become the wild wild east. Just like in all the states where the people have voted for medicial or decriminalization, we all know it doesn't mean shit on the state level, your state can only do such much until those cocksucking hypocritical feds set up and do whatever they feel like and threaten the people of the state and try to put in even more fear with threats to the state government, we've all seen it before and we all know its just a game to them. I wish to hell they pass it don't get me wrong but this just seems like one of those situations where it just seems too good to be true, remember the government truly doesn't care what we think that was clear during the Bush Gore election down in Florida. I hate government and politics and really didn't care who was elected, but when you got Bush's bro the governer of florida and somehow it take another week to recount because the ballots were messed up? I don't know much about politics but that seemed like some sketchy shit, basically if they can switch presidents on us they can easily find a way to shoot this down..... Also remember all these pharmaceutical companies are in the pockets of a lot of peoples, these legal dealers that supply medicines seem as though they do more harm then good with all these side effects and not enough proper testing but yet the fed's care more about a state where the peoples have spoken in are in agreement with something that threats the pockets their pharmaceutical buddies which in return hurts their (the feds) pockets.

Sometimes I dream that a really rich stoner brought his own little country/island and make weed legalized and not have someone else over its head like the feds here do. I bet that country would have a booming economy, with little crime, lots of tourism, and much happier peoples....

forgot to mention that we should just adopt Portugal's drug laws they seem to have the right idea...

I would move to stoner island - no doubt about that =] Sound's like the shit. Smoking some incredible Master Kush this morning.

Hopefully if it goes legal, there will be so many grows the Fed's won't be able to do shit. They may go after dispensaries - but the ability to go after all the growers/caregivers is pretty well out of their hands.

One of the tricks the Fed might use is to put economic pressure on different states. Like cutting federal aid for roads and other state costs to try to push them away from it. But if it already passed - they are in a tough spot - once it becomes legal - it will be so wide spread good luck shutting down the system - just like mp3 pirating =] Power in numbers all the way

--

As far as the hard drugs go - certain things like Opioids and maybe PCP I don't think would be best legal. Having programs like in Switzerland where the addicts get clean morphine and clean needles along with support to quit is I think the only way to go about addressing the issue of crime related to hard drugs.

The main issue from the different hard drug users I've ran into, is they get sick from not having it and end up spending all their money on it. Pretty soon they are broke and feeling sick till they get a fix (I can't even imagine living such a life) - so even if it is Legal they still won't have money to purchase it -> which still leads to same robberies and violence. They need to have clinics that give it out - to truly remove the crime aspect.

In all honesty about Freedom and Sovereignty - I truly believe that people who are heavily addicted to heroin have lost personal sovereignty - they generally become no longer in control of their own lives, which is the exact opposite of freedom (being dependent).

BASSNECTER T minus 6 days! Gonna be a good time!

Be careful, the house of blues aka house of rules has notoriously crazy security, I've seen them check people pupils on the way in and deny entry to those who had saucer eyes. Just a heads up. Ya gotta go to camp bisco to rage bassnectar to the fullest :smoke:

I think it's popular to say that it doesn't matter if a democrat or republican is our next president, but it most certainly does matter. Don't get me wrong, they are scumbags on both sides, but if you think the medical/legalization movement is better with Romney in charge then you're stone-cold crazy. Not claiming obama is any savior for us, either...

Bio, You already mentioned it, the Feds will put so much pressure on the people that run these states that they'll pretty much be hand cuffed, pretty much they'll cut them off from so much it won't be worth it, this is just my opinion though. I hope to christ I am wrong but with the track record of the feds, and the recent raids of oaksterdam and clubs, I don't see full legalization just yet. I believe more states will need to become medical/decriminalized before we see a true "legalized" state. I sure hope I am wrong though...... Also personally I don't see what good it does to keep giving a herion addict more herion and for free for that matter I think people here in America would abuse such a system and we wouldn't have the same success they do in europe, I def like the idea of taking down the crime rates associated with it tho.

Vado,

Totally - even though obama has thrown the medical cannabis rights under the bus for big pharma and the prison industry, it's not for political image - because 51% of the US support legalization let alone the larger amount who support medical use =]

Romney would have a stronger Iron Fist in attempts at bigger shut downs (much worse) because he is attacking cannabis for his image as well as big pharma. A lot of the people Romney is crafting his fake political image towards (politics is a game of demagogues) are the crowd who usually make their decisions on "predetermined unquestionable truths or positions on things" You can call it ideological simplicity (or lack of looking at more evidence or even having the ability to change your position based on new evidence.)

Romney will directly be playing off of this to get the conservative vote - rather than looking at empirical evidence - Chacho is right on with that =] It reminds me of the Ex Fort Collins Mayor on American Weed, taking the battle to boost his image for re-election or politics and ignoring the data showing how medically effective cannabis is while shutting down patients access to medicine. Standing out on the sidewalk with his smug smile, while asking to put many patients through sleepless nights. It must help him sleep better to totally ignore the scientific data in the matter and just go from his "gut" predetermined position that he knows "is right".

However, just because on politician is (less worse) than another doesn't mean that we are given a choice between two people - who will both play into the hands of those against cannabis to certain extents. One of the main mechanisms of Authoritarian governments is to "Channel frustration into policy" - Like making people chose between two choices that don't provide what they need - and using that election to create new laws.

I think if the states start legalizing - the FED won't be able to keep up with growers / caregivers (maybe they can target dispensaries here and there) but once the legalization pushes through - it will be like the mp3 piracy cat and mouse game.

They will just go after a 12 year old pirating music as warning to everyone else, because they don't have the resources/funds to go after the hundreds of thousands of people pirating music =] This could be a really good victory in the battle for un-harassed cannabis.

Ottoman,

I totally see where you are coming from on the handing out the chemical solution. All this discussion is with the utmost respect and with nothing more than warmhearted intentions. But what I think it comes down to is - heroin addicts aren't going to stop until they personally decide to quit, which many won't even do after numerous overdoses. I think this phenomenon in general would lead to them needing to find it somewhere, and also acquire money (usually through illegal or violent means) - for them it's going to come from somewhere hell or high sea.

I agree having clinics that give out (morphine) which is supposedly much cleaner with less addiction rate than heroin - could create incentives for people to use or start up (But that's why we need to have Cannabis legal. I prevented my younger sister from binge drinking in High school by getting her into top end dank - why bing drink when you can smoke the best weed in the world =]. I think a lot of people would be content with the strongest herbs and concentrates where they wouldn't need to try a potentially life ruining and addictive drug like (free morphine handed out to addicts). But most of the people using and looking for a spot are already hooked, and going to find a place either way.

The thing that is scary with the younger generation - I've seen it with some people in Weymouth and other areas, just going around to different parties. A lot of them start off trying Percs, OC's and Benzo's then become dependent/sick from not having the opioid's. At that point the Pills to them are very expensive $40-$80 a pill vs heroin which is much cheaper and get's rid of their sickness.

This topic is so morbid it's almost disturbing to talk about - but i was looking at a study that said Pharmaceutical Opioid addiction has gone up 350% in the last 10 years alone. A lot of the people end up as heroin addicts because it's a much cheaper habit than the opioid pills. Even on the TV show Weed Wars, the only person who stole from Harborside was the one employee who got hooked on Percs.

I'm just so glad I have access to Headie herb. I rarely even drink as long as I have top end Dank and some Mushrooms once a year - what else could I possibly want in drugs? Top Shelf Dank FTW =P

Ya I hate this topic, but it's why I do what I do. Y'all don't even want to know how many close close friends I've lost to opiods. Bi0 u hit the nail on the head... Start with boozing & pills, gets too expensive, so they move onto H & overdose & die. Lost 2 friends who were brothers, 1 yr apart from each other, no other kids in the family, lost my best friend this past summer cus he had started sneaking around again, H led his car into the woods, I had to fond out by seeing his whip on a flat bed outside a deli I eat at every morning... Y'all can't even imagine what I personally went thru dealing with that... The engine was out of the car, hood peeled back like a soda can thru windshield, my buddy's blood everywhere... Car looked like it was in a compactor. God damn that's enough reliving of that in my head.

Anyways, I've only had 2 friends that got fucked up by opiods be able to get off them, and that was with the help of their rich families & multiple rehab trips. Getting ppl off opiods with Ted (herb) is my goal, so far I've got 2 patients with OC scripts over 100mg a day on straight Ted. It's the best feelin in the world knowing I'm really helping them, and they both have SERIOUS medical issues, so it wasn't a bogus script or anything, but they were getting addicted none the less.

TB Gardens,

My best wishes and support goes out to what you have had to deal with in those experiences. It's definitely a grim subject, but spreading knowledge of how life damaging they can be to people and those close to them - can help wake people up and prevent them from falling victim to the same paths of hard-drug addiction.

I'm lucky I guess, that my mom is a Doctor - ever since I was young I was always informed about the danger of prescription abuse in any form and especially that of benzo's and opioids. I just remember hearing first hand stories from her about what people go through on hard drugs, even the amount of patients she saw with cancer from smoking cigs - which I also avoided. Although, i do love a nice blunt of killer headies.

It's so great to hear that you and others are helping get people off of hard drugs with benign cannabis - it really needs to spread far and wide. Also have you read any information about Ibogaine ? Supposedly it's a psychedelic that removes withdrawl symptoms from opioid withdrawls and gives a profound life changing experience where the majority of those who take it - kick the habit for good. Something you may want to research and recommend to those too far out of the reach of the aids of medical cannabis.

I send my best to you and your friends effected by this pharmaceutical mess. And doctors are quick to prescribe perc's, oc's and benzo's but some still frown on the use of Medical cannabis???? I don't get it, it's night and day how safe cannabis is and how life damaging narcotics can be.

I mean I do get it, it's more why can't the masses see it (although knowledge is spreading faster than ever) that it's the same economic reason they shut down dispensaries but not the factories producing the patented Marinol THC synthetic pills. It's the protection of the corporate pharma industry that can patent medicines for higher profit - over the use an naturally growing medicines that cannot be patented for higher profit. And both political parties get large amounts of lobbying money and create promises to pharma companies.

I think its all up to us, boys. We and other growers/breeders/providers, who do it more for the love of the plant, and giving actual care to loved ones. Legal or not, if someone has the ability to get somebody away from harmful pharmaceuticals and onto some natural herbal remedy, they ought to do everything in their power to do so. Being able to spread it to others who otherwise wouldnt have any access to quality cannabis is definitely the hard part.

.

Ah well. Seeing everyone's sexy, sexy strains have convinced me to start more seeds, and throw these 9 mystery seedlings into this flouro cab I have sitting around, to see what they can do. A Nirvana ak48 dad hoked up with three GHS super lemon haze phenos, dutch passion blueberry, and t.h.seeds mk ultra. that last photo was a preggo shot :)
Next commercial seeds I'm starting will be GHS white rhino, Delicious Seeds Cotton Candy, and then Paradise wappa, nebula and acid. Then more of my mystery crosses when I have more space, so I can go about seeing if there are any keepers in the bunch. If the MK could adopt some of the growth rate and stretchiness of the AK I'd be happy.

Nothing exotic or fancy, but I'm hopeful, and excited.

Each trichome houses an entire universe~

Edit:

Just got some photos of a tent, and am fairly excited about how its looking. Halfway through first week of 12/12. MK ultra front left, slh back middle, blueberry front right. 400w CMH, low-profile RDWC, scrog. They're stretching 2"/day, its a fight to keep the tops under the screen for long. This spring is bringing some new vigor into these oooold girls. Well, except for the MK which has always been pretty slow.

and the world is stuck on it

Hahahahahaha that gave me a good laugh
:bis:

Lots of work being done this weekend, more shelves/racking systems going into Veg. Grabbed a few more hydrofarm T5 4' fixtures (they are great, sit perfectly in the shelves), gettin another light rail setup in another room, possibly another 400w cool tube, more scrubbers, and finally taking down the F13xA11 #3 & Skunk #1. They look amazing, the F13xA11 #3 looks purple from all the heads, they went amber quickly over the past week.. Every things chunked out to the max.

I'll get a bunch of pics this weekend, been so busy haven't been able to do a proper update in the bubble bath thread. Enjoy the weekend fellas

:tiphat:
