Hi Evergreen!

Sorry for the short response before. Currently I'm running some seeds from 12/12. I did not expect much for yield. With the 600 I would normally have in a area this size, I would expect maybe 4 zips. This current run looks like it is going blow that away. I think the yield is going to be surprising. The plants look better, smell better, denser flowers than I've ever had.

I do miss the heat from the HID in the winter but the power savings and peace of mind that comes with LED is well worth it. I can see having to add a small heater but I think that would cost the same as the fan system required to vent the HID lights.

That's another bonus. To keep a 4x4 cool with a 1k takes some serious CFM. In my tent now I have a regular power strip running the light, small 4" fan and carbon filter, and a small oscillating fan. Still less juice than running a 600/1000 not to mention the equip that goes with it.

Another thing contributing to the yield, as these are in small two gallon pots, is the soil mix. Once I got the soil mix down with build-a-soils amendments the plants are very happy and seem to yield a lot better. When I run this tent with clones and large pots the yield should be off the charts!

like you lester i'm going 12/12 from seed and wasn't expecting much
but under the fce3000 i'm very surprised like you very dense buds and better growth
i struggled badly with temps with my 400w hps in an 80x80x2m tent led was perfect for me
temps are not to bad for me i'm around 27-29oC i'm running a 5" fan around 50%
your grow looks excellent :headbange

Sounds like you have a good plan. I always had good quality with leds but I was never able to get much yield. I think they would yield well if you had a hydro system dialed in.
I wish you luck when you are going for more yield and I look forward to seeing your great results.

Time for harvest in the Mars tester tent. Not only testing the Mars TSW2000, Mars tent, but also testing seeds. I can't say enough about the light. I mean what can I say negative? It draws a measly 300w from the wall. Covers the whole tent pretty well. It is dimmable, which is good because I haven't been able to turn it up past 75% without it being too strong.

It is light weight, puts zero strain on the tent frame.
It is silent.
It runs cool. This is huge for summer growing but also peace of mind when not at the grow.
Long cord.
DONT LOOK AT IT! ITS FUCKIN BRIGHT!!

I can't think of anything I don't like. The flower density is way better, hence the yield is way up. I think frost and overall terpene production is better than the HPS, and not by a little. Penetration is not as good as the HPS but canopy management is part of growing.

I love the light and will be getting more soon. I want to try the fancy FCE 4800 get badly.

The Mars tent works well, excellent construction, good appearance, I like the removable floor for cleaning and the viewing window. Only thing I would change is the zipper, it isn't quite light proof. It is a dull glow but I'm very picky about those things. Other than that the zipper functions well.

The velco flaps are handy but again you need to close them carefully to ensure light does not leak in. If you weren't going to use the vents, taping them up is no biggie. For me the tent is in a dark room so it didn't matter to me. The vents were open during lights on. They have a nice mesh screen that keeps the odd fungus gnat from escaping. I use HEPA furnace filters, cut to size, over the vents to control incoming air.

I have used this light for a year now and liked it so much we put 8 at a friend's and the jungle there is outrageous. Pics of that is coming soon once things progress into flower.

My current debate is, do I get two of the TSW2000 or two of the FCE4800 for the new 8x8 space? Currently have an antique HPS in there and I need to get that room outfitted with LED ASAP!

Back to the cannabis....

This plant is one seed from 10 that came out of a bud of the best modern hybrid herb of 2021. I cracked this seed, the other 9 are in the fridge about to get wet and this is the results. Some type of cookie bagseed. Very vanilla on the front end, then to citrus/berry with pine on the exhale. Smoke smells of vanilla, baked goods, funk and maybe a hint of sandlewood. I'm testing it from a sample pulled a week before these pics...

Dense, certainly frost, staaaaaank terps off the charts! One helluva bagseed score!

Wow lots of quality loss when posted to the site. That's depressing. Good thing the sweet Blueberry is the greatest antidepressant of all!

BB F4 #3 is the best all round plant so far out of the first 6 Fruity line. There are 20 more sexing from all of the lines.

BB F4 #3 is one of two similar plants. Tallest and largest yielding. BB 3 has a blueberry muffin mouth coating flavor that I can't seem to get enough of. Outstanding. The clone run will be in a Better container and will reveal the extent of the qualities. This was done 12/12 from seed. Plant achieved 3.5' height, and roughly 2.5z of dense flowers in 8.5ish weeks. From clone this should be a very impressive plant.

BB F4 #2 looks nearly identical to #3. Height, structure, flower size and density. The difference is the taste is profound blueberry candy, whole store of blueberry candy. The smoke in the room has that muffin smell. Very nice very deep complex flavor. Again, from clone I am expecting great things.

BB F4 #4 is a single cola type plant that is very sensitive to nutrients. She will be grown better next time. Her structure and flower style are like the blue moonshine. I have not sampled yet but the smell is like blueberry the fruit. We shall see but I am reserving judgement until I see a well grown clone.

Blueberry #1 is the fastest flowering, dense flowers, frosty, smells of blueberry but not as strong as the others. The flavor is that classic "Blue" flavor. Nothing remarkable here. I will flower the clone to be sure but most likely this pheno will be culled.

BB F4 #11 is a short affie looking plant, single cola, super dense long center cola. Fast flowering. Widest leaves and shortest plant. I sampled this one while it was hanging and found a strong cherry/blueberry tootsie pop flavor. Mouth coating. Licking my teeth good! Once in the jar the flavor disappeared. Not completely but a shadow of when I first smoked it. I think where I had it drying it got too much fan and dried too fast. I am definitely flowering out the clones on this one. What a sog plant!

All the plants showed fabulous colors at 72 day 67 night temps, dense flowers, great frost. For a 12/12 from seed run I got a good idea what these plants are about. Grown in organic soil and Mars light really showed what the plants had to offer as far as the phenotypical expression.

I am sold on the LEDs I really have nothing but good to say and the proof is in the jar.

Thanks #MarsHydro

very nice LB…did you say this GSC bagseed was also grown out 12/12 from seed…from seeing this bud up close it is almost solid white with frost…taste must be off the hook…excellent work…taken from a song my friend wrote “Thanks For Stoppin’ By” was written for a beautiful person Richard Updike who passed close to 20 years ago and ran a Restaurant/Bowling Alley in Trumansburg, NY appropriately named Richard’s…which has since burned down…he also bowled in numerous leagues there…one of those leagues I bowled in and we had a team of 5 members all were lefties including our sponsor and if someone couldn’t make the Jack Blake Wednesday night league on our team we had to find a lefty sub and if we couldn’t we took a blind score (which did happen on occasion)…yeah we we hard core…sorry man for ramblin on in your thread …keep posting them pic’s:rtfo:

Great story! I love stuff like that. Lefty's rule! It was great to take a little road trip and meet an awesome fellow member! I look forward to doing it again!

Yessir that was grown 12/12 from seed. I am incredibly stoked to see what the clone does. It certainly turned out to be frostier than about anything else I've done in quite some time. I have 9 seeds left. I plan to grow those and determine the best plant and S1 that.
