What up Mars?
I got a 2x4 ft cfl light I run for seedlings and cuts. It works good but takes 216w to run, looking to find an alternative that could maybe cut the wattage in half n still have good results. Is there an LED that can cover this area efficiently?

I definitely can't say anything bad about the SP 250. It definitely has a good light pattern when it's hung up.

A LED (LED) may be a semiconductor light that emits light when current flows through it. Electrons within the semiconductor recombine with electron holes, releasing energy within the sort of photons. ... Modern LEDs are available across the visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, with high light output.

I think they all go: off/25%/50%/75%/100% at least those are the markings on mine (a ts1000) and the factory setting is 75% I believe?

Hey get mo, if you just use the light for seedling, one SP150 can work for that. The power is around 140W. If you also want to use the light in flowering stage, one SP250 is a better choice. Bigger coverage and more powerful.

Hi Chevy, Thanks for using our light. :huggg: it is 90%. The light can be 110% power but we don't suggest to do like that. Because that will shorten the lifespan of the light. :tiphat:

So how low can the spf 250 be dimmed and does that shorten life as well or increase it?

It can be dimmed to 180W. But it is better not to do like that. It also might shorten the lifespan. :)
It is better to keep the wattage between 190-240W if you have a wattmeter.

I'm going to switch to led lighting soon, I got a 4'x8' with 2 600w atm with a small veg/mom box, I want to expand and add a veg room, swap the 2 600's and add a 2'x4' tent for veg cycle.

Think I could swap 2 600 for 3 300w tsl2000 and then get a tsl2000 and setup a veg tent without changing overall wattage.

You won't regret it.... your electrical usage will go down a lot, and your cooling becomes easier/less costly.
I've used HID's for decades and now that i've started using LED's my plants show less heat stress, and grow even better than with high intensity discharge lights, i would go so far as to say that HID is inferior to LED.....

I'm going to try Mars Hydro next (April), their gear is top notch and the price is WAY better than what i paid for my current setup....

If you have one 120x120x200cm grow tent.
Will you pick two pcs SP250 or one TS3000 for it? :tumbleweed:

Tell me so I can buy it and replace 1000 hps lights

Welcome, buddy. :huggg: I would like to recommend you two pcs SP250 for that space if you want more power. Because they can output around 500W true power during flower stage. The PPE of SP250 is around 2.5umol/j, which is way more than HPS light. it will help you save a lot power bills.
