This is not an idea. This is a joke _ remember what was written a few pages earlier.
Maybe the size change itself? ;) without more LEDs? I just don't know if people like to keep the light 20 cm above the plants.

;) Viewpoint. A panel intended for a room with dimensions of 60x60 cm should be slightly smaller in size than 60x60, and should be able to work halfway lower than the current structure. Slightly uneven distribution of the LEDs _ flat stream distribution over the entire surface. Uniformity and minimization of wall losses. Exactly what people do on e27. now they are available and dimmable with efficiency similar to TS1000 _ really better..... Almost 2022 r, around 2,2 ~2.3 umol / J is no feat on smd2835.

Such efficiency is the lower segment of the market. And in the case of the TS600 it is something within the limits of the Philips A +. Of course, if you take into account the so-called realistically achievable effective flux => working distance:

yeah, you are right. 2.2-2.3umol/j is really the lower standard in this market now. But it is still much higher than old school lights like HPS.

The TS lights are like entry level. we also produce higher level lights like FCE and FC series. And in 2022, there will be a huge update for TS series. ;)

FC-8000 and FCE-8000 are very suitable for these growers who add CO2 in their grow space.
The average PPF data in 5x5ft area is over 1200umol/S. The concentration of CO2 is 1000PPM to 1500PPM.
Generally, if you 1000-1500PPM CO2, the PPF needed is also 1000-1500umol/S.

On the TS suggestion thing, while moving things around I dropped the SP light onto the plants after about 10 hours of lights on. To save the plants I grabbed it and rehung it. Then realised I shouldn't have been able to do that. Can the cooling tech on the SP be incorporated anyway for the TS, as although they run a lot cooler than HP's, picking one up after 10 hours of on, and holding it in one hand to rehang would have been impossible. Just some shielded cooling blades on the back would give at least a cool hand hold while reducing the overall heat of the unit. Just a thought.

I'm not going to argue about America's obsession with a mark 1 ford escort . They drew one on a piece of elastic 50 years ago, and pull one side of that elastic every 5 years and trace a new muscle car . Put a 17 litre engine in it and get 300 hp and 5 miles to the gallon and wave the flag over it.
nah, I'll take a plastic lambo over that option any day.

Hi, GMT, thanks for the suggestion for TS series. we might consider to upgrade the cooling system. But what i can make sure is that there will be a new version TS in new year.
On the manual, we suggest growers not to touch the light directly when it is working or just off working. The reason is just like bulb, it is hot after long time working. If you have to touch it, pls wear a glove. be careful next time!

Fortunately it wasn't the TS that dropped, that would have burnt me, the SP though was fine, that's the point. The cooling on the SP , so long as I only touched the black outer case was fine to handle. Just some area at least on a TS case that allows it to be held while on, could be a really handy (sorry realised the pun after typing), feature to add.

Very interested to hear about the alterations already planned though.

When I pick up a light, I do it by the support, and not by the lights case. It's much more safe, as they are made to take the weight and will also keep light in balance. Also, you won't get burned or cut in the sharp edges of reflectors or risk touching the diodes. Altrough I would say disconnecting the light from the mains and letting it cool before moving would be the best way to do it. The disconnecting from the mains is first step to all I said before. Especially if you use a timer and/or unsure if your mains outlet are properly grounded. Also, don't turn the light off from the timer, take the connector out of the timer, or timer out the mains socket. That's best way to make sure you'll be safe.
