Every person over 50, and Sick people, should have the governments approval to smoke cannabis for whatever reason....

Thanks for posting that up. Yes, it's more due to people becoming less fearful of admitting the truth than anything else. All the talk is indeed getting some folks to pick it back up again as well, yes.

Oh give me a break.... 80% of the drugs given to people can cause dizziness... you don't see any "OMG, Paxil creates dizziness! Don't use it!" Campaigns.

At least times are still changing for the better. The best thing you can do is LET YOUR DOCTOR KNOW YOU USE IT AND THAT IT HELPS SIGNIFICANTLY. Please.

Doctors don't know sativa from dog-crap from indica. They mainly are under the belief that cannabis is cannabis is cannabis and that it all makes you hungry, stupid and lazy. *shrug*

The best thing you can do is LET YOUR DOCTOR KNOW YOU USE IT AND THAT IT HELPS SIGNIFICANTLY.

This is very important! Doctors always acknowledge feedback from patients about drugs they are taking, esp. if they WORK! This is because Big Pharma has trained every doc to report back to them on the results of new drugs they're testing or newly released. So docs are always keen to know whether a drug works or not. And guess what? Drugs that WORK get recommended more by docs than those that don't.

So by telling your doc you use cannabis and that it works for you, gives them the ammo they need to recommend it to others with similar problems. The more ppl reporting positive results, the more docs are going to look favorably upon it....

No doubt this is why the AMA finally changed its longstanding opposition to medical marijuana, and asked for the rescheduling of the drug so it can be prescribed.

So now that we have the boomers (even some who were straight all their lives), and docs in our corner, the only group left to convert is law enforcement. And there is a rapidly growing group of LEOs who are against marijuana prohibition. I have a feeling they are the ones we need to support and encourage right now.

If we can get them to change the attitudes of LEOs, the prohibition wall will tumble down, just like the Berlin Wall did, once the border guards changed their attitude to not to shoot their OWN people! Now we just need to get LEOs to feel it's NOT RIGHT to bust little old grandmas growing a couple of plants.

Forget the politicians cause they will never "risk" their careers by supporting cannabis (except for a very liberal few like Barney Frank).
