Maria's Subtropical Outdoor Guerilla Grows with Connoisseur Genetics (Perpetual Journal)

I made a visit today, as I won't be around this weekend.
Thought I'd need to water, but they didn't need much.
Lower temps and late flowering mean the water needs are so much less.

I bagged up the SSSTN, Sticky pheno, it's nicely dried.
And also bagged the Grail girl colas, ended up shucking them, haha!
Took them to my other location, not home.
I stuffed four sealable glass containers, two of SSSTN, two of the Grail.
Then stashed that in the forest, half buried.
It'll keep nicely there over the winter, let it cure a bit.
Otherwise the amount of flower at my location is getting high.
Spread the risk, is the thinking here.
Those four glass containers are packed.

I will cut the SSSTN Fluffy pheno next.
She's got two big colas, hanging almost parallel with the ground, over the balcony.
And the Grail girl still has another cola to cut.

The SSSTN x (Grail x ThaiFrican) plants need a few weeks, over a month probably, to develop.
I'm thinking they'll be ready by Christmass / New Year.

No photos today, was working fast to process that flower!

Spring-Summer Grow -- Maria's Haze Heaven Hacienda!

Day 391: (re-veg) 145V + 112F

Sun is out, temps into the mid 20s C.
The last few days have been good weather for end of flowering to harvest.
Pity about the month or more before!

Time to cut down the last of the longer run.
The last branch of the Grail (NLD pheno) came down,
and the SSSTN (Fluffy pheno) came down two, a couple of main colas.
At Flowering Day 112, that's just hitting 16 weeks.
The upper end of their flowering times of 12-16 according to OJD.
It's also later than the first round, when I took them around 14 weeks or so.
Can't see a single white pistil on these girls now.
They're done!

I did a quick and rough wet trim, but not much to remove really.
Here is most of it hanging on the wall.
First photo no flash, second with flash.
One cola of the SSSTN was cut down into individual buds and into the laundry bag.

Grail on the left, SSSTN on the right.

Grail (NLD pheno) -- re-vegged

Doesn't look much different from the earlier colas cut down a couple of weeks ago.

SSSTN (Fluffy pheno) -- re-vegged

One interesting thing here, is that she looks identical to the 'Sticky' pheno.
In the end, it seems that the phenotype difference in these two plants wasn't genetic.
My guess is that because this Fluffy girl was original shaded out by Sticky,
and didn't start flowering until much later,
her shape and pheno expression the first time was probably due to the increasing light cycles at the time.
When Sticky and Fluffy flower out at almost exactly the same time,
then they are just the same phenotype after all.
This isn't just the shape and form, her aromas are almost identical, too.
Of course, I've cut her slightly later, so maybe there will be a little difference in the smoke in the end.

Anyway, pics!

SSSTN x (Grail x ThaiFrican) -- seed stock

Meanwhile, these little seed stock girls are still rocking along very well!
After the first SSSDH leaning pheno that was cut, the rest are definitely slower.
There's one, a bit ratty tatty looking, that is getting close to finish, but she has a lot of white pistils still.
And the Pearl pheno is still just stretching out and out as they do, with white pistils still popping.
But there's a few that are big and puffy, lots of white pistils shooting out, fuller buds, and looking in good health with nice green to them still.
Because the bigger girls are all cut down now, all these little ladies are not getting shaded out any more either.

Here's two pics of one of them, probably my fave as the one that looks to be the longest flowering girl.

As I mentioned earlier, this girl, and all these seed stock plants, have nice trichome development, and the calyxes seem to be of normal size.
I'm comparing that to the particularly smaller calyxes that the re-vegged plants have this round.
So really not sure what the problem was with the re-vegged plants.

I should do testers of the SSSTN Sticky and Grail pheno that were just harvested this week.
Just a quick test, of course, for scientific purposes, naturally.

What an adventure!

Thanks for taking us on this convoluted and fascinating ride dear Maria.

Testing ones haul is very important imo ☝🏼
In the name of science and for posterity of course.

All the best for your future endeavors and my the ganja gods keep the sneaky bud rot from your harvest!
