Maria's Subtropical Outdoor Guerilla Grows with Connoisseur Genetics (Perpetual Journal)

Did a monster effort just after dawn today.
There was a bit of rain, enough to get wet, but not soaked.
I just cut those guiding ropes I had set up, no time to properly untie and unthread.
Then I had to hold up those girls, their main tops are flopping down near ground level already, haha!
While I dragged the boxes around the back.
The heaviest pot with the Grail x ThaiFrican and SSSTN x ThaiFrican plants maybe weighed as much as me.
They'll all very saturated from the recent rain.
There's like 1' high ledge you have to pull the box over, it's there to stop balcony flooding come inside the house.
And I was totally thinking that those boxes were just going to break apart when they came down the other side.
Somehow they all managed to hold together.
I huddled them in the corner again, but a bit different.
The SSSTN girls are leaning on the staircase railing.
The Grail girl still can hold herself up okay.
The Grail x ThaiFrican had to be re-staked with those iron bars.
One of the small plants is laying down, but the others are enjoying the fun and are fine.
It's all a big mess, but at least I got them under shelter.
Forecast is for a nasty one, really bad winds.
If I left them out, they'd just have all (or most) of their colas snapped right off.

Meanwhile, the buds are still filling out.
They look big, like 2" diameter buds, nice and long, but they're really fluffy and light.
The drying lower colas of the Grail x ThaiFrican is coming along okay.
Very light fluffy buds, but everything will have to wait until testing, of course.
The rest of her can go longer, so I'll try as long as I can while she's still holding together.
SSSTN need weeks yet, and so does the Grail girl.

Big mission today, but I got it done.
Think I pulled a muscle or something in the process.
Sit at home and prep for the wind and rain.
Fridge and freezer are stocked.
We got this!

Thank you Blessed Sri Sri Gangamata!

Hey Tolschok, much appreciated!
Hi

Maria , great show you put on for us 🙏, and rest up and get well soon
Thanks OJD, for everything, glad you take the time to drop by.
Hope you are well soon. Is there more storms/typhoons in your growing area? It seems like a lot lately, but the news doesn't reach over here near Denver.
Nice to see you BBCat, it's been a tough season for 2024.

Update below...

Last post was last Wednesday, and the typhoon came down that night and Thursday.
It was a monster this time, and my area around has a lot of big trees down, that iron fence is all smashed up, we last power and internet on Thursday night, and there was a fair amount of rain but not huge.
Luckily it passed fast, and Friday was just a cloudy day with a drop of rain.
That wind was fierce!

Then I got sick again, and have been in the hospital since the weekend.
That's why I haven't posted for a while, cause the internet here is filtered, haha!
I'll be here for a while longer, too.

Was worried about the plants, in the semi-dark, and while it's not hot, after a while they'll still need watering.
Found out it's possible to get 'leave' from the hospital (I had other things I needed to do, too).
So managed to get to the garden yesterday (Monday) and pull them out, plus a quick water.
I couldn't put all the ropes back, so there's just one guiding rope on the south,
and they're all kind of hanging over that for now.

This is a rough update, with three quick pics.

Spring-Summer Grow -- Maria's Haze Heaven Hacienda!

Day 230: 135V + 95F

Wow, day 95 flower already, is ... 13.5 weeks for the Grail x ThaiFrican, and maybe 12.5 weeks for the other girls -- SSSTN and the Grail.
They are hitting the harvest window.
Haven't had any time at all to prep my hangers, but it won't take much.
Whereas before I was planning for several big plants, now the volume of flower is much less.

Super Silver Sour Thai Nevilles
PXL_20241104_083439046.jpg

This is 'Sticky', no pic of 'Fluffy' who looks similar, just a bit slimmer.
Weird, how did that happen? Last time 'Fluffy' had big puffy rounded buds, now she's skinnier?!?!
Just these two main colas -- one each, but they are a decent size at least.

Grail (fast pheno) x ThaiFrican
PXL_20241104_083509199.jpg

This is a cola at the back, she still has a few more, plus that damaged main cola that's still hanging in there (and almost hanging down to the ground...)

Grail (NLD pheno)
PXL_20241104_083452713(1).jpg

The Grail buds got quite full in shape in the end.
And this girl has a number of colas like this one here, plus little ones everywhere, too.

These poor plants, they look like they've been to hell and back!
As I said earlier, their calyx growth is strange, all very small.
But I can see the trichome development is still there.
I'm just going to let them roll along for now, they still have some growing in them, as you can see.

Seven SSSTN (Sticky) x ThaiFrican
Meanwhile, the little SSSTN (Sticky) x ThaiFrican seed-stock plants look so cool!
Yes, they're all so small, as expected, but their flower growth looks normal (compared to the big girls).
And they all look like they have some serious stickiness to them.
The 'Pearl' pheno is branching off everywhere like crazy, a couple are quite tight (for hazy sativas), and a couple are in-between, one is looking haggard, with one getting a fair bit bigger and slower.
So there's going to be some nice flower from these girls too.
Just such a pity I had seven/seven girls from those seeds, and not one boy for pollen...

I will just have to try again next round!

Peace and Love,
~MJS

Wow lady, seems like you are one tough gal!

My best wishes and healing vibes for you 🙏🏼 🧘🏼‍♀️

Getting leave from the hospital to see to your girls (amongst other things) and even taking pics for your supporters 😉, respect!

Hope you are on your way to recovery now.

Care to share what ailment has laid you low?

Hey there Hasch, how have you been?
I'm not that tough! If I was, I wouldn't be sick right now!
The leave was actually to do some other urgent stuff -- pay bills, for example,
but then it occurred to me the other possibilities, hee hee hee.
Slowly getting better.
Recurring fever and inflammation, let's just leave it at that.

Drop some of your own pics if you like!
That applies to anyone!
