March Harvest Pics

So I have a nice little perpetual going, and its a good thing too. Just as I was running out of meds from my previous harvest (6z total; 1.5z donated to another patient); the first plant of my March harvest had just finished drying. Talk about timing!

My goal is to increase yield every harvest so I can take on another patient (I'm now trying out a SOG; which I will have a diary for). I met this really nice older gentleman at LAPCG while looking for cuts. We talked about how overpriced meds were, and how LAPCG was one of the few dispensaries that remained semi-affordable. He was out of work and could barely afford an 1/8! We hooked up with digits, and I've been dropping off a 1/2z of meds about every 2-3 weeks. I cant even begin to tell you how good it makes me feel to see the guys face when I show up. That something I did with my own 2 hands, with my sweat and hard work, is having such a positive effect on one man's life. Ok I'm rambling on now, long story short, if you have extra meds, DONATE TO A PATIENT IN NEED! It feeds your soul, you can feel it deep down inside.

Enough rambling and onto the pics!

First 2 pics are of my first plant to be harvested, a Soda Pop, she was a wee bit smaller. You can see the total yield there in the jars, and being trimmed still. I expect maybe 1.2-1.5z

Here I'm manicuring the Snow White pheno #1. She has a citrusy, lemoney smell. It's my favorite of the 3 strains/pheno's I have running right now. Excellent smoke, good potency, good taste. The scissor hash I am enjoying as I type this.

Thats my March harvest! Harvest time is always a good time, but I can say I'm getting tired of trimming lol. Each harvest, my better half and I treat ourselves to some Sushi at the local Sushi Bar. Its one of the few things that I enjoy eating, that I can actually eat due to my intestinal problems. Unless I try something fried, then fegget about it, me and Mr Toilet will be having a date! Chrons/IBS/IDB sufferer's you know what I'm talking bout! TMI? Hehe fuggetabout it I'm scissor hashed. Better end this while I'm still ahead...

Grown in soil under a 400w HPS. I need a new damn bulb for this thing. Eye Hortilux incoming..

All good deeds will be returned. I am betting 2 to 3oz a plant next time!!! Very nice buds, the Snow white looks I was wondering What are the parents of Soda Pop. I live on the eastcoast and have never heard of it.We dont have legal canna here so I get to live in pain from my Ultrav. Colitis yea the tearing of the large intestine. Well!! So they think anyway. lol

Stoned Silly, yes I do beleive in Karma! I think next go might yield more, due to sog technique I am employing. Speaking of which, I am gonna start that sog thread up in diaries. Soda Pop is a creation of Doc Chronic. Its parents were both from Federation Seeds Co., Cotton Candy (Afghani & Blueberry seedlines?; I've also heard its a Sweet Pink Grapefruit knockoff) and Big Mac (BC Big Bud x 4th gen. Mikado male). It's smell is very sweet, and with a proper flush at the end of flowering produces a very sweet candy like taste. Not the smoothest smoke I've ever had, but I guess I've been somewhat spoiled in the past with some really good Dispensaries medication. Perhaps a good cure will remedy that. It's an Indica dom, but doesnt have that severe couchlock like some Indicas. I harvested at about 55/40/5 cloudy/clear/amber. The beans were not listed, and to my understanding were given out to med patients as freebies. Sorry about your UC, hopefully your state will become MMJ legal someday soon. Until then, keep closet-tokin! What they dont know, wont hurt em!

Dry weights on the first 2 Soda Pop's are in for those curious.

The 1st Soda Pop yielded 38g's or 1.35z just about what I thought it would be at.

The 2nd Soda Pop yielded 64.2g's or 2.3z

The last of the plants in finishing up drying and we'll have a grand total for you guys in a few days. Not a monster yield by any means, this was my 2nd harvest to date. I think it will be about the same or just shy of my first harvest. I'm starting to think I could use a better bulb too, I dont think mine is producing max lumens. So off to the grow shop this week hopefully for a new hortilux.

Ohh yeah, and if you guys are wondering about the difference in yield between the 2 Soda Pop clones, here's some reasons as to maybe why...

Pretty much in all regards these 2 plants were identical clones. Only a few differences between them.

Soda Pop 1 (38g's) was flowered in a 10" pot. When I transplanted to that final pot, I did NOT break up the root ball as per Rezdog's recommendations.

Soda Pop 2 (64g's) was topped early on in veg. It was flowered in a 12" pot. Upon transplanting this one into its final pot, I DID break up the rootball very good.

Perhaps container size was the biggest contributor? I also now make it a point to break up the rootball between t-plants. Subtle differences, which led to vastly different yields.

Final dry weight on the Snow White is in @ 36.4g's or 1.3z. A little less than hoped for, but good none the less.

That puts my grand total for this cycle @ 138.6g's or 4.95z. A little under 1z less than last cycle. I'm gonna blame the bulb =p.

Next cycle is up and running, this go is Snow White again, but a different pheno than the one I just ran. Feel free to stop by, link is in my sig.
