Mandala Mango Zamal smoke report

This is review of Mandala’s Mango Zamal, please keep in mind that I am SENSITIVE to cannabis and haven’t smoked in 4 months. Also this is the first experience growing/smoking a 100% sativa, been growing hybrids and indicas over the past 8 years. Harvested at day 80, mostly clear trichomes but half of pistils were turning brown/red. Could have easily gone a lot longer but I was having some kind of nutrient problem and leaves were dying off.

I picked a sample bud days ago and decided to smoke it, so smoke was harsh, Both plants look to have yielded around 2 ozs a piece, nice big cola and nice side shoots, above average yield, the two phenos I choose were medium in height and showed earlier flowering than the others. Had a lot of variation in the 11 seeds I got, one was monstrously tall, another dwarf-like?!, Both plants grown in a 4x4 grow tent, 600watt hps, using oldmoonshine mix, simply ph’d water, vegged for 2weeks. Buds smell of lemon cleaner, fruity, very dank smelling, buds had nice trich coverage.

Where this strain SHINES is the fucking high!!!

Here’s my experience: packed a small bowl full in my glass pipe, very little lung expansion, although smoke was slightly harsh it didn’t induce coughing…decide to put on headphones and listen to some music…walking back to my room and WHAM! I’m fucking high now!....electric fiery energy courses through my body…heat felt in chest and face…my hearts pounding hard now, I know im in for a ride....feeling extreme euphoria, almost like I want to love the whole world…this is some serious love weed for sure!...very UPBEAT! And motivating …..clear, no couchlock or heavy body load, ….this shit is great for club hopping, partying, socializing….this high just takes your breath away in awe, the positivity just exploding from this stuff….racy but still in control, several times though felt a little edgy but just refocused…nice come down, gentle but comes in slight waves…Now I never listen to techno music but this stuff made techno music sound amazing! Ive never done psychedelics before but I believe this high could be similar. The intense high lasted a good 1.5 hrs with a nice afterglow for several hours later.

Mandala states this to have a low potency, but damn this stuff was super strong! (although I am a lightweight, lol) Mandala has knocked it out of the park on this strain! I will post what other “experienced” smokers think of this strain.

Mandala Mango Zamal smoke report

Thanks dude, I've been waiting a long time for a mango zamal report.
How was the plant to grow?

Real nice report, as you mentioned, your lack of tolerance may have something to do with the intensity of the experience. Still, I think the profile of the high is well described. Sounds like a winner, I love social, euphoric highs. I'm hoping to get some Zamadelic freebies, and now I'm thinking I should order this one pure for making hybrids.

I just looked at the listing for Mango Zamal, and see it is also a hybrid and not pure Zamal, being crossed with an Indian sativa. Same Zamal mom used by dubi with the Zamadelic that he crossed to the Golden Tiger.

How was the plant to grow?

You can check out a little of my grow over on the Mandala forum, but basically pretty easy to grow. Had a lot of variations in phenotypes and one hermed on me. Also had some nute issues and cold temps but the two ladies held up and budded out nicely. Started out with 12 beans and ended up with 2 finished plants, but actually worked out because the two took up a lot of space in my 4x4 tent. I see this strain as more for personal stash since it has a long flowering time and had a lot of variation. But definitely worth it! I'm very prone to anxiety from smoking certain strains of cannabis and this stuff was just all positive vibes, for me the "perfect" high in every aspect!

Just a quick update, buds have been curring for a week now and have taken on a very lemon cleaner/citrus aroma, very pleasant to the senses :) Also weighed out both, one came in at 47.2g and the other 54.1 so 3.6 oz for the two. Not too bad of a yield with a 2wk veg time I thought.

My next grow adventure is going to be some critical mass by the CBD crew, as my wife is seeking a medical strain for her back but doesn't want to feel blasted all the time. I'm hoping that this CBD rich strain will fit the bill.

thanks for the smoke report bonghitter :) I have a few questions for you.

I was wondering if this strain might cause paranioa in some users?

you think this strain may have some aphrodeisac qualities?

also do u think this strain was clear headed, as in focused and functional?

Mango Zamal : the unexpected french one !

Mango Zamal : the unexpected french one !

great !!!
very pleased to see some are interrested in mango zamal from mandala.
living in the island where this strain is born and the only place where she develop "free" as a landrace.
zamal is the only french strain as our island was virgin before 15 century.
last season a friend grow outdoor a mandala mango zamal plan during 8 monthes.
he choose a mandala seed because it's very difficult for us to find local "zamal" quality seeds : too much uncontrolled hybridation... Guys had green thumbs and every body tell he had the special one ! but since 15 years i can tell than a very little few growers have it and the others smoke "teen's weed".
he grow this strain to start from good seeds and result is about 2 kg. growing was easier in our sub-tropical maritime climate. strength is not the best she could because of yeilding conditions : rain during 6 days ... but it resist better than other strain who were got severe mould prb. because of airy structure and size of buds : many little buds instead of big colas... but at the end all little buds do big colas... with no pests and mould inside... so my friend would try it again next season !!
i'll be glad to have news from you.
keep well and appreciate your zamal,

Thanks for the report, sounds a lot like the Mandala Zamal x Super Skunk I grew a few years ago, first time I grew such a sativa-leaning strain and the high was fantastic. Great to grow, too.
