strain - Mango-Licious (male) - Afghan (male) - ProfeX (male)
I have the top of the afghan and 2 lower branches.. ProfeX just started, and its my mix these 2 will be allowed to continue, the Mango-Licious is a CHTG cross of bubblicious[f] x (Burmese Kush x Mango[m]) this guy I don't have room for... so I want to know if he will start flowering, or go back to growing if the cut was taken prior to flower cycle? once the branch has reached maturity will it bust off premies like the girls do? I want to set it out with some autos this fall and let them do their own thing... just trying to find solutions...

same deal as girls light cycle determines, thye will also reveg if needed. Ya they will have male preflowers and minute amounts of pollen. not enough to collect for anything meaningful usually.

hey tony while I gotcha here, does the first pollen that falls equate to genetics that will give plants a faster flower cycle??

if you pick the first plant that flowers you will be going down the right road...if you pick the first pollen from a plant its just that the first pod to open....yeehaw..just because a plant flowers fast and first doesn't mean all the offspring will..you need to keep pickin the early ones and breeding them...

well, that wasn't really the goal... I have until about late Oct - mid Nov for flower phase on average I was just curious... the guy I get most of my seeds and info from, I don't see much, and what he doesn't know he cant tell me... he is the one that pointed me to this site... he doesn't even get on here anymore... smh I guess he got what he needed, his bud is amazing though... so... here I am! lol

As others have said, but keep in mind that the fastest male is not necessarily the one with the trait/s someone is looking for breeding wise (Cannabinoid content boost for instance)

I toss all males that show early, but keep those
that show male first and lady bits after. Not many do.

I had a Nepal Jam that flowered in 18/6, dusted all over.
I culled that seed plant after taking cuttings and they
slow to root.

Never re vegged a male.

All the females increased preflower in veg with that Nepal Jam
male throwing pollen but simmered down a few weeks after I
culled that flowering male. Had to wait a while to take those
female cuts too.

fucked up shit right there

I don't quite understand?? you mean the male has female hairs too or are you talking about a hermie dropping pollen on a whole crop??

A hermie that fucks up your crop preflowers female
and later, when you not looking, grows sacks and
drops pollen that gets spread everywhere by your
excellent air circulation.

A male plant that develops female flowers later is,
when not sterile, an interesting plant to use in crosses.

if i pollenate a female cutting before it gets roots will it still send out roots for reveg? or wil that effectively end the life cycle??
