A good one for everyone... my friends, I'm a beginner in these extraction stops kkkk... I live in a country where the government is very oppressive regarding freedom... but the question is the following: I have a material of the Apple haze species.. .which has been vacuum sealed for 8 months ........the material smells good but the flowers are as hard as rocks... if anyone can help me transform this material into something useful ..be dry..oil ... rosin...anything useful..because I have 50 kg of this stuff.

I would think it would make decent bho. Probably a bit dark due to its age. But still flavorful and potent. No idea if butane is available where you are located. You would also need a vacuum chamber to purge as 50 kg is going to make a lot of extract.

these buds have like 2 and half days of dryin and i sweat them in 38c not for long time in the beginin in the day 2 , i now smoked some at this stage and i like it alot and smells very good. Now can i just stuck the buds in the bag and vaccseal without heat and let the bag in the room where thers like 28c, or i can let the bag in a balcony where thers like 33c in the day but at night it will drop to like 20 ?
for the openings stages of the vacbag to dry the cob how do you know when to open the bag and let the cob dry? can i open them to dry them a little at one time per week for four times in a month and after that 4 openings dryin to vaccumseal the bag and forget abut the bag?

another question i want to ask , if i got drier buds that are like in the 4,5 days of dryin stage where thers no more green stems in them but they still bendy and smells nice , can i just vacumseal the buds without heatin them and open them after 1 month, to dry the cob a bit ? can something wrong occur if i dont open the bag to dry at these stages ?

Hola Hombre
I find this subject interesting, I hope it is not too offtopic, ayahuasca is a fermented brew
I believe you mean curandera when you wrote Curandada
Do you know how she prepares the brew? From your post it seems she brews it in Spain or is she importing the brew from the Amazon? If done in Spain, Have you taken part in the brew preparation?
Could you describe the ceremony?
Why weeks of preparation? And what is this preparation about? You mean weeks for preparation of the brew or weeks in order to prepare yourself for the ceremony?

Ayahuasca is not a one type of high, the brew can be prepared in different ways and can be made more or less powerful and more or less enlighting depending on the brewer/shaman will, experience and skill and raw materials available

I do indeed mean Curandera!.
When I wrote it I believe that is what I put. Spelling was never something I was good at! 😂 and reading my posts before posting is probably about on par with my spelling😂, the amount of editing I do after posting is unbelievable!.

She brews the mixture herself whilst singing icuros.

I've never joined in the preparation.

The more serious ones amongst us prepare with diet, both physical and mental. Abstinence, both before and afterwards and meditation on intention(s).

The ceremony itself takes place in a yurt that is only used for such things. Scared plants are burnt before and during the ceremony. There are usually about 12 of us, including the curandera and her assistant.

We all take rapé before taking the medicine. We sit in silence for some time before the curandera starts singing icuros.
After some hours we are offered more medicine if we feel we need it.

She also offers termazcals during the winter, when we are allowed fires outside.

I've only done 2. First time I thought, "well I love a sauna, it can't be that much different". What an arrogant fool I was.
Once I gave in and thought "fuck it, I'm just going to die and there's nothing I can do", that's when the magic happened!

As an interesting aside re the tamazcals;
It was always the men who couldn't take the 4 rounds and came out early. Women seemed better able to give in to it.

Yes just in a room will be fine.
You can also put them out on balcony but because the reaction had already started you don't need to do this.
Also once the process has begun I usually keep out of very much direct light for long periods of time.

And yes you can just seal, but do check by looking to make sure they are stable and dry enough not to mould like once a week, either just from out side the bag, or open and reseal (which is probably better to start so you can have a smell and feel). With practice you will find intuition makes it easy, but sounds like you have a fairly good feel already.

Well I finally did it. I've been reading since page one and saying to myself 'next Harvest I will'.
So I put some Mango Thai x (Zamaldelica x Congo) buds into a little pre press mould and made myself a little bar. I don't have a vac sealer so for now I've just wrapped as tight as I can and got as much air out as possible then locked the Ziploc. I was going to submerge it in water and then seal but the baby is in bed and I don't fancy feeling the wrath of Mrs GreenAndFast. Do you think this will be ok until I can properly seal it?
Snapped a photo cuz boyyy does she look purdy....

If you have access to banana bark, means you are in a hot enough area and you wont have problems
The crock pot maybe is good in Tasmania or Melbourne, but wherever banana tree grows is hot enough so you wont need it
In life in general my experience is this: the more complicated things are, the less real they are and the results are not as good as with simple things
I had your same worries, I tried vacuuming the bark brick, wraping the bark on nylon for extra heat and results were not good

This is not kimchi. At this part of the world escabeche is made but this is different, it is more related to tobacco way of fermenting
At our southern hemisphere winter we have enough days reaching 25C, I have peaks of 30C
For the initial fermenting process is enough heat, just place your brick in a carton box and thats enough, dont forget you are not fermenting it super express with a yoghurt maker, this is slow but sure
Low tech and simple as it can be. Just wrap your brick tight with bark, place it a sunny place outdoors inside a carton box for some extra heat and dryness, a roof or something like that is a good place to put your brick and let nature do her thing. No need salt and the current winter heat is good for a long and slow fermentation process. When temperatures pick up in spring it starts drying the whole thing and curing

I post this video again for whoever didnt see it
The technique is called perique, this is how sailors made their tobacco
What we are doing with the bark is perique ganja and probably most brick I saw in my life is perique method without the oak barrel

Look at how similar to cob this is, I dont think is a coincidence

Well the thing with tobacco is that you need first color cure, first to cut the fresh "yellow skin" (thats the term they use in tobacco growing forum) color, and then to cure slowly in shade and high humidity in order to eliminate all clorofila (if not tobacco is very toxic to smoke) and fully yellowing without dry (this is really hard in my climate) so you cure first and then You ferment, thing with perique is i think they add some molasses or liquor to help with the fermentación process, i think the cob tecnique is more in the flake style of tobacco, where you press a lot the tobacco in a barrel or in "chords" of tobacco and temperature, darkness and compression mixed with the wood of the barrel just naturaly ferment the tobacco "cake. This technique was discover when usa tobacco producers find better ways of transport tobacco without compression just to find the british don't liked the US style tobacco and prefieres the "spoiled" one better jaja

when i say if something wrong can occur , can the flavor change in a bad way if i vaccseal after 3,4 days without heat it? you see in photos the green stems it bends but it smokes great.
Usually the flavour changes most with wetter starting material.
Doing as you suggest will be the slowest way to get the reaction going so should be very controllable and be all good flavour wise.
I've done many without the initial sweat with no problem but do first inspection later, say ten days to two weeks, depending on you ambient temps.
I do usually heat for a short period at relatively low temp these days so I'm confident the reaction starts and because I feel the reaction "eats" any spores that might be on the material.
Never had problem this way starting drier with just a short initial sweat, but it's not entirely necessary .

@Lebanizer for me it beats fiddling with jars by a mile. Now I've been doing it for some time it's almost second nature, I find it very minimal fuss, almost set and forget.

Making oil or break it up and run it through a dry sift tumbler to get hash is what I would do.
Try dry sift on a kilo and get back to us with pics please.

Mulanje x Malawi/Ethiopian. 10months or thereabouts old.

The smell is very sweet camphor and something that I recognise from childhood but can't put a name to. Very difficult to stop sniffing it, it's that good!

The high is very very clear. I don't think that hybrid liking people would like this at all. It's almost as if you aren't high. Zero body high but very high in the head. Prefect for doing things; lots of motivated energy and full of confidence. Mrs DM loves it, as do I; she's just eaten 60mg and gone off into the village to shop.

@Tangwena ,I understand why this is one of your favourites. 🙂

I have a dozen seeds sprouting right now ha ha should be ready for Christmas.
I get two distinct phenos one with lots of red haired buds and one with golden yellow green very sticky buds (Mulanje).
I mixed buds from the two phenos 1/3 red haired 2/3 golden. The red haired is the one you describe so well the Golden gives a drunk feeling full of self confidence.
When the two are mixed you can do the math ha ha.
The one you show is the closest too the Malawi high from Nkota Nkota in the north of Malawi also known as Malawi Gold.
The 2 mixed in cob form are what I loved from the central districts of Malawi the high is out of control what I call Zulu weed ha ha.
If you know anything about Zulus you will know that they are invincible and act that way ha ha.
I hope Mrs DM has a great shopping experience shit 0.6g is a goodly dose brother ha ha.
