Good looking cure DB! hehe

Glad you still have some of the MH7 left. I'm down to only two cobs left so am rationing it out slowly. going to miss it when its gone, it was a great plant.
Thats about the only thing that can bring you down hey? That last piece of your favorite cob I get palpitations just thinking about it.

I prefer smoking cob in joints rather than in a vape. The problem with vaping (dense, hard, dark) cobs is that they need to be really finely ground up so all the resin is vaporized, but then little bits of the finely ground up cobs gets in my mouth. So I usually don't finely grind it, instead I vape larger bits on medium, use my finger to grind it up finer and then vape it on high which gets just about all of the resin.

here we go,cobbing in real time,i'm leaving the cobs under a 250 hps for 24 hours, the pic is after 1 hour.I want to dry one every week to get different results and i'm going to harvest another plant(much better than that one)in 15 days give or take.

Good plan brother thats the way you get those crazy exceptional cures.

Looks like a nice sweat going on I can imagine the changes going on inside the cobs.
You are going to vacuum seal the cobs after the sweating aren' t you?
Silly question but I had to ask dont want you to loose all those lovely buds.

unfortunately no Tang,i'm still vacuum-less.Mold is what scares me the most so i'll try to inspect the cobs frequently.Last time i haven't had any issue with 1 week fermentation but i want to try the darker cure now as well as the golden one. What if i bury them,i mean the ones that will stay 2-3 weeks?Have you ever tried?

Maybe try getting a few of the food saver vacuum bags with the zip lock if you can, close it mostly and leave room to put a straw in one end, suck the air out, as much as you can and while still sucking close the bag. I find the freezer bags still let air in almost immediately after you vacuum the air out with your lungs. I hope you get what I'm trying to say, I dont have pictures to demonstrate.

If you're mechanically inclined, I've seen videos on youtube of how to turn a bicycle tire pump into a vacuum. I would think one of those, and an air pin like used to blow up basketballs would make a nice DIY vacuum.

Or one last thing, if you can, if theres a walmart in your area or a store like that, they make a hand held vacuum. It's usually in the same spot with the bags. You plug the hand held in to charge it and then it will vacuum the air out. I got a kit, vacuum and about 10 bags for $20 if I remember.

i wouldn't try it myself.
As Digger said the hand held pump type would do at a pinch.
One member wrapped them very tightly in insulation tape and reportedly got a safe mold free result.
It a BIG gamble without a vacuum sealer the better quality the better.
I would sweat them for 48hrs then start drying them slowly over a couple of days. Its not the best but safer.
i def wouldn't use my best or only buds without a vacuum sealer they are cheap on amazon or e bay.

Cob oil

Cob oil

Making some Malawi x Ethiopian cob oil today. This stuff makes your eyes so big its as if your on speed. Except your just tripping on cannabis ha ha.
One cob was cured after sweating for 1 week the other 3 weeks hence the darker look.
Both are 6 months aged and feel moist but mostly from the oils and resins.
The crumb up using your thumb nail to break them up like loose pressed hash.
They smell like hash too so good.

First some 4 year old Zamaldelica canary buds too good to use for oil I dont have much left caviar for the mind.

hi Digger, that's what i did with the last batch,it worked but i didn't go over the 1 week mark so i don't know if it's a safe method.I'm using self produced corn husks,i rehydrate, clean then dry and press them flat so they're easier to handle.Make your own if you can, that's the best thing.

vacuum sealers are not very common in my country,i'll take a look if i can find it online, thanks brother
edit:i've found a bag in the garage that goes with the vacuum cleaner, apparently it seems to work even if it's for clothes and the bag is too big.

Just this guy, ya know?
Have you guys noticed more mold with outdoor grown compared to indoor? My indoor won't be ready for 3-5 weeks and I just harvested some outdoor I'd love to cob, but I'm worried it will all go to mold.

As Tang said,no difference between indoor/outdoor.
If you have a vac sealer,go for it.Even if you don't nail the cob cure, zero chance for mold as long as its vac sealed.Attention:when cob taken out of vacuum and still fresh, never just leave it in the jar before drying a bit,it will mold then...

Thanks guys! I made a few cobs once before and got a little bit of mold on some of them, but I blame the fresh corn husks more than than the weed really.
