Lovely plants bagada, too bad it's mold heaven.
Maybe just remove all the moldy parts(including tomato leaves) to minimize the chance of it spreading to your buds.
Hey Bagada!
Your organic malawis are beautyfull
With botrytis and phytophtora (Both apear on tomatoes) it really helps to remove any damaged leaves and also the lower leaves up to the fruits that are ripening now. This allows more airflow. I even remove the lower small branches from the cannabis Plants to help the airflow and faster ripening of upper branches. Hope this helps
So I ripped out all of my tomatoe plants except 2 small ones. Airflow has greatly increased. All plants are still ripening and have less than 10% Amber. I have been smoking F1 and F3 lately and I have a grasp on what the highs are like. As for smell, they seem to be dominated by a sweet mandarin orange smell. I like it.
F1-this is the one with the biggest branching, biggest leaves, yet smallest buds. The individual flowers are rather large, but there's just not that many of them. Very sativa in bud structure with the top of the buds fresh white hairs, yet the bottom are totally swollen and hairs have receded and shriveled. Fox tailing buds are like towers similar to basil flowers. Very resiny. SMOKE IS INTENSE. very racey paranoia inducing. Almost had a panic attack twice. The good thing is there is no sedated effect and the high is only a half hour long. Very short lived but perhaps the fully finished product will lengthen the high. It gradually tapers off until you realize you aren't stoned at all. And you have much energy still. As long as I only smoke a little I feel fine. I'll smoke this when I want to feel a RUSH. Hoping the riper buds will be mellower yet still not sedative.
F3 buds are leafier. Resin is good. This pheno takes the longest for buds to develope but yield is high. So far smoking some early buds, this one has a long happy sedative high. Last 3 hours and makes me forget all troubles. Taste of strong grape juice when vaped.
I havent smoked F2 lately but I may try some tonight. It is potent and sedative from what I remember. Sorry for the crap pics.
I'm glad the Malawis finally finished correctly without mold issues despite the very high moisture.
It's crucial choose mold resistant genetics under this environmental conditions, otherwise you will lose most of your harvest in late flowering. Sativa dominant strains of tropical origin are the best choice in your case, despite they need more time to ripen ... but if they are well developed (and your location is good to produce high quality tropical sativa flowers) the yield with these sativas hybrids is high and the lost of flowers due mold is usually very low, so they are worth the wait at the end.
Sounds like you are finding very interesting fruity aromas, please let us know your opinion of the different females after a bit more of curing
Regarding the mold issues, i would recommend you to spray with sulfur in the growing stage and first days of flowering , and apply copper for the soil, both are well known and widely in used agriculture to fight against many kind of fungus.
It's also very important to have the location well ventilated and clean, especially indoors or in a greenhouse, and check there are no other plants infected nearby, else the problems will come sooner or later.
There are also very good fungicides in the market, but they are usually chemical and systemic, so i wouldn't recommend to use them unless the infection is very serious (like an infection in a mother room), they are toxic and must be used properly.
