wouldn't the Vietchunk x Deep Chunk and Vietchunk x Vietnam end up being some sort of Vietchunk Bx or backcross? i am studying genetics right now in college and i think that only Vietchunk x Vietchunk will be F2's since they are both the same P1 parents.

Wow Alfred! Your plants look amazing. It has been so VERY hot here the last week or so. 36+ degrees Celsius !! The VC's here are not getting any purple colors, but I can really smell the grapefruit odors now! I have successfully pollinated 2 of the females with a mixture of pollen from both males. I can see the swollen calyxes with the developing seeds! I have also used some pollen from the Bullrider X DC on one of the Vietchunk females. Another month or so for the ones I have...

Facinating man, thoose look like some kickass plants, very interesting to make such a cross: a landrace and a commercial strain...
It has given me some ideas for sure, in the moment i am doing some F1 hybrids between afghani, white widow and some rudealis strains- nothing fancy just my first steps into breeding.

I could babble on for days, anyway good luck with 'em you definatly got some good genes worth breeding for many generations

I've snapped a few more pics of the Vietchunk here. The plants with the wider leaves have a very grapefruit smell. The thin leaved one still has a citrusy smell more light limes, but not as strong/pungent as the other 2.

Vietchunk x Deep Chunk = Vietchunk F2 ( doble chunk)

Vietchunk x Vietnam = Vietchunk F2 ( doble Vnam )

Those wan't be a F2, will be a backcrosse.

Alfred, la doble chunk seria 25% Vietnamita y 75% DC y la doble Vnam seria lo mismo pero al reves, aunque puede que me equivoque

Hi Alfred, and all the rest of my friends in this thread.


I received my care pack but was sad no extra vietchunk's but then happy to note there were purple afghan's as well. Those pics are truly amazing with such great colors and crystal formations! I'll have to check out the reference to the Viet Black as i need some more to go with what I have already to ensure a successful seed run. Looking forward to trying my vc's. Thanks again Alfred.

Very nice plants shove It. My VC's are still maturing nicely. The bugs here seem to like them, there are some leaves with holes in them now, but I don't think that has affected their growth. I'll get some more pics in here soon.
