no i havent, but no it wont. sam knows his shit and has said why its bogus. the reason that oil was so good, is simply the great weed it was made from, almost for sure.

i just got a honeybee extractor to make some oil. It came with no directions. anybody know how much to fill it with and how much butane to run through it. Ive already put the fresh trim in the freezer. Gonna give it a shot tomorrow and see what I get.
put some weed in and use some butane. i would say 300 ml of butane quite thoroughly leaches 14 grams.

this whole thing about red oil coming through in isomerization, i make oil that is VERY red, just had some comments down at berkely patients group that they havnt seem oil as red as my master kush oil since the 70's too! well only those old enough to remember the red oils of the hippie hayday.
i will post the pics when i get back home in a few days. and HMK out of most people here you seem to have made or make as much or more oil than myself on these forums...and i'm sure you have made some oil that comes out RED. for me i beleive different herbs produce vastly different oils, in consistancy, to color, and of course flavor.
oh and for all those bubble people, any of you made BHO from bubble? i have done this and WOW, your return is comperable to what you put in. and you do get left with a lot of those nifty little trich stalks at the end but not much else. and the flavor of the bubble comes through nicely, mind you at a very low temp purge.

hashplant and many indicas will give red oil. also, if one continually overheats a sample of golden oil for long enough, it will turn much redder/darker.
cant wait to fry your ass over your absurd method. bet i get to be first!

Pure THC is clear and has no taste or smell.
Red oil is because the THC is starting to be degraded.

The color of the oil is not directly related to potency, although red oil is almost always better then black or green oil.
When oil is made from resin it is red, when made from herbal Cannabis it can be more green or black.

i personally belive it is possible to convert CBD into THC via isomerization using sulfuric acid as a catalyst ... i have no doubt the red oil i smoked in the early '70's was very special indeed

ok ... forget about isomerization ...in yours (or, any one else) experience, can you tell me what is the best method for the very "highest" quality oil in bulk?
my opinion is use butane, use only whole buds uncrushed up. use large tubes, you can make 2 oz tubes or even 4 oz tubes, and use one can of tane per oz.
or, get the purest kif possible, and make oil from that. not as tasty usually, but just as potent pretty much.

one of my gripes about aerosol butane is fear as it dispenses ... spraying that stuff into a tube of bud always make me feel like i could blow up!

No kidding, I was running two tubes one day and after doing the first one, for a brief nanosecond, while getting the second tube, I almost went to grab my smokes and then I thought DOH, are you token stupid,,,boomboom out goes the lights .ahaha.
