I have got a lot of leafs, about 200g. Can i make a good hash from it, without using bubblebags? If yes, how? I should first dried them or work with wet leafs?
Bubble bags are nice if you want to spend all that money for a luxury.
What I did and recommend to you if on a budget is:
Get some screening (the kind used for windows)that you can buy at home depot (I got the plastic stuff). You can buy a roll for cheap! Cut a large section. Lay it over a big pot (I used a three gallon wide pot) or something else that will hold water. Cut a large enough peice so that when you push the screen down there is plenty overhanging all around the vessel so that you can use some string to tie this around the vessel to hold it in place.
Add the trim, cold water, ( I put some gallons of water in the fridge overnight) and ice.
Use a beater and/or a big wooden spoon to stir/agitate. I used both and did this for a good 15 minutes or so.
Let sit for a little while and then cut the string that is holding the screen in place.
Carefully remove the screen so the trim and ice goes with it. Squeeze out excess liquid from this into pot.
Next, have some coffee filters on hand and some plastic cups. Cut holes in the bottom of the cups. Fit a coffee filter in each plastic cup. I used about six at once. Place these cups on a rack or something over a sink perhaps. (I used some woven baskets upside down in the sink because I didn't have a rack)
Now ladel the liquid left in the vessel into the cups with the filter liners one or two ladelfulls at a time. (stir the liquid every time in the pot to keep the tricomes floating around) Keep ladeling as the liquid drains, this will take a little while as the more tricomes that accumulate the longer it takes to drain.
When all your liquid is ladeled into the cups and there is only a tablespoon or two of liquid left in the filter, just pull the filter out and squeeze the water out and let dry. I had to use a spray bottle filled with water to spray the tricomes off the sides of the filter to push them down towards the center of the filter. You will get the hang of it.
After it is dry (overnight) peel the resin off of the filters and mash it together. Now form it into a flat block of sorts, wrap in cellophane. Poke a few holes in the cellophane. Wrap the cellophane covered block with some damp (not soaking wet) newspaper. Use an iron on med heat and iron on each side a few times alternating. Let it cool, unwrap and there you have it.
I ended up with about four grams of hash last grow. It may have a small amount of plant material, but, you won't mind.'
This may seem like a little work, but, it really is quite simple.
