InNvBoarder said:Major your plants look great! I am about to plant the purple shack. Should i soak the beans before i plant them? I posted my box on my pics. deal. I have flat white paint on the walls inside my box, should i get some mylar or is it ok how it is. Right on dude grow on!
hey hey buddy welcome aboard my party boat lol them seed nephew gave ya you can soak in a glass of plain water, if you smell clorine in the water let it sit approx 24 hr before use. but up where you live clorine shouldnt be a problem but smell water anyways unless your on a well. when i soak the seed i place the glass w/seed in a warm darker place my living room type dark lol. 24 hr after placed in glass you should see tarpits plant in soil with tarpit facing up plant 1.5 inch down, the roottarpit will grow upward some then 180 deg and grow down. this action usally pulls the seed shell off in the soil when it sprouts, any that dont have a tarpit just plant pointed end of seed down 1-1.5 inch deep.
watering fresh planted seed and or seedlings
i prefer to use a spray bottle on mist and mist the soil until it starts to drain, misting action dosent flood the soil thus sinking seed farther. i'll adjust the waters PH to 6.5 in a gal jug then fill spray bottle, the water's PH should stay stable but re check PH before next use .
as for your grow box best to keep walls flat white for now after you have your erea dialed in temps wise then yes mylar. you could invest in mylar now because temps shouldnt be a problem where your at. if the mylar cost's more then 25$ for 25 ft 1 mil thick roll maybe see if nephew is going snowboarding up there anytime soon and maybe have him bring up a roll lol.
just remember to have your fresh air intake bottom on 1 side of the box and have your exhaust top opposite side of box. i use passive not forced fresh air intake then strong exhaust idea is to exchange the room air 3-5 times each min.
but right on glad you got some shack beans whoot whoot just take your time read read and read some more on this fine site and you'll be peachy creamy. pluss theres some mighty fine growers here from all over the world that like to help a new grower
