Mail order elite clones - starting successfully?

I can get my own cuts going but I’m hoping to stumble onto some cuts of Santa Cruz Blue Dream someday that aren’t $200+.

I’ve never worked with mail order cuts and don’t want to kill them straight out of the box.
Looking for suggestions on how to properly get them going after they’ve been in shipping for a few days.

any help is appreciated

Just do whatever works for you normally. A couple days in the mail should not matter unless they are exposed to extreme temps. The clone shippers do a nice job of protecting them.

I've sent and received dozens of cutting through the mail without the clone shippers and the survival rate was always 95%+

With snips (unrooted cuttings) it is usually beneficial to have a dome and tray ready as they will be coming out of a near 100% humidity environment. It is important to not let them get acclimated to the dome.

Dome for an hour and remove for 15 min at a time. Maybe a slight mist of water if they wilt significantly during that 15 min. This needs to be repeated with longer dome off times throught the day.

They need good light but nothing strong. Natural sunlight on or near a windowsill seems to work best for me.

They should be dome free after 24 hours without out any wilt.

I have saved worst case scenarios many times by baby sitting with the dome and spray bottle. If you have ever grafted tomatoes you are familiar with the process.

Rooted cuttings may just need a mist or two of water if they wilt and a dome only in worst case scenarios. Getting them in some good soil or your system quickly helps as well.

Babysit babysit babysit and you shouldn't have anything go South 👍
