The 2 pictures in the second to last post I made wasnt the plant in question for the original post. It was a seperate plant that was growing just fine. I had 2 afghani's though that were starting to turn a light yellow color.

sorry i didnt make that more clear, but the big plant i posted pictures of above with the little spots is not the one I made the post about originally.

If she's looking rather yellowy then green, she might need a shot of nitrogen

1/4 teaspoon gypsum wont harm your plant. Did you not find the stump remover and follow the formula?

In summary per gallon of water:
1/8 teaspoon potassium nitrate
1.5 teaspoons grow big
1/4 teaspoon powdered gypsum
1/8 teaspoon epsom salts

n 137
p 33
k 131
ca 70
mg 26

Remember to adjust the fert water ph after mixing to about 6.

Did you test the soil ph yet?

Looks totally healthy. Those spots look more like just random natural imperfections, not a deficiency....

I couldnt find any of the stump remover. I took distilled water, and took 3 different soil samples from around the roots. each one was 7.4-7.6. The distilled water was 8.0 to begin with, is that correct?

the reason I asked was because it showed up an hour or two after I used gypsum powder on another plant in the area. and in the sick plants thread it shows similiar dots as a calcium defiency. more specifically from powdered gypsum.

Distilled water should have a ph of 7 not 8. Make sure you follow the ph testing directions closely.

hmmmmm well keep an eye on it.....maybe it is an effect from the gypsum i am not sure maybe somehow the gypsum locks out calcium?

keep us informed nonetheless if possible....

So wierd, I dont know whats goin on with all this haha. I calibrated my pH meter last week. Tonight I bought some new distilled water. tested it, came to 8.4 again, tested regular tap water 8.2.

Brought out the calibration solution (7.0). dipped it in, tested 7.1, so i set it to 7.0. washed it off. dipped it back in the distilled water. tested 7.1(good enough for me). tap water tested 8.3. so all seems to be right again, not sure why it was acting up. also the other tap water tested 7.9, it was probably because its been sitting out for a long time in a humid area.

will update with new pictures tommorow, thanks for the help sproutco and others.
