Is this a Magnesium Deficiency?

What are the recomendations on this?

Right now, I have added 1/8 teaspoon of Magnesium sulfate to each gallon of water in my resevior. (Hyrdo) This is in addition to my normal nutrient rates. I am using GH Micro/Grow/Bloom with floralicious additive.

Any recomendations???

I need more information and pics; the pics with the HPS light on hide any problem that is going on with your plants; need to turn it off to take pictures......

But from those lines in those leaves from the pics; magnesium makes the veins stay green (intervienal chlorosis) while the rest of the leaf turns yellow.

Can you try to answer these questions?

HYDROPONICS:

What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (Were the seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
What PHASE are the plants in? (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using?
What substrate/medium are you using?(Hydroton, RockWool etc.)
What is the Water temperature?
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each if using multiple?
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using?
What is the pH of the "Tank"?
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment?
When was your last watering?
When was your last feeding change? (ie. grow-bloom-micro-additional)
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor?
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include flucutaion range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When?
Are plant's infected with pest's

My PPM's seem a bit high. Should I just add more water to lower them?

Also, I am going to get a PH calibration solution this week.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, add more water. That looks to me ike one of those probs that comes and goes though, really, but it's hard to tell in those pics. Get some better pics.

I lowered my PPM's to about 1700. Should I try and get them lower?

I will take some better pics when the light goes off and post them here in about 12 hours.

Again, Thanks for all your help.

WOW, YES, like 400ppm, as in it should be at 400-600ppm. I've never seen the hungriest strains go that high.

Sup 20K hows your grow and life treating ya :)

Dude, that is way high for plants that small; I would definatly lower it to 400 for now.....
I agree with 20k get those ppms lower; you are burning the hell outta them babies :(

Yeah, you are looking at a lockout at those levels, which will show up as a deficency and/or general wierdness.

Ok so I have lowered my ppm's to about 1000. But now I am wondering im my water is actually RO. I measured my water with my meter and it measure approximately 500!!! I thought RO should measure 0. Is my water not actually RO or is my meter not functioning correctly.

I read in my bible that the meters are usually only good for about one year. Is this correct? Because if so, I need a new meter.

Also, when measuring ppm's do I calculate the diference between the readings of plain water to nutrient mixed water? This ppm's thing is new to me.

Next, I believe I might be overwatering.

Here is a pic:

Here is a pic of the whole tray:

The deficiency wasn't very noticeable with the light of. The best shot I could get of the deficiency was:

Also a shot of a few leaves curling up at the edges:

I will read about this today. This one is new, the leaves curling up I mean.

You can buy calibration solution to check your meter.

RO SHOULD be pretty low, like below 20ppm or so, but the filter things go bad after a while, so that may be the prob.

Whoa yah, curling leaves are from the high ferts. Other than that they look pretty healthy so far.

Do you have a reverse osmosis filter? What do you mean "Is my water RO?" RO water should be pretty close to zero, not totally zero, but close. The harder the water, the more ppms left behind in the water after filtering.

Distilled water should be zero because it is steamed, then the evaporated water is collected, free of minerals. Also the ph will be low with these treated waters cause there is no calcium to bring the ph up.

I no longer follow the directions on the back of the nute bottle. I now fertilize with approximately 1/2 strength solution. I am also using water purchased from a machine outside a grocery store.

The plants were definately overwatered for that stage.

I have had other issues since then but I guess this is my learning batch!!! :joint:

Next time... I will do much better.

Again... Thanks to all that have helped me.

Here they are 10 days into flowering:

yea wow what a difference. over watering in a hydro setup? I didn't think it was possible as long as your solution was tuned correctly, guess i read incorrectly.
