Hey IC,

Long time lurker first time posting. :biggrin:
Just thought I'd share my LED PC grows. This was a 200W grow PC case for a while. Then one of my LED's burned out so I'm down to 100W now. Looking at getting a new LED setup soon. Heres my Full Tower ATX Case:

Heres the updated fan setup I'm using now, along with a shot of the LED, fans are pushing air out the scrubbers now.

^^I made the PC Fan Carbon scrubber myself (ill post a DIY later) - Yes they work very well!!

Here are some of my previous. I love short strains, didn’t like the Lowryder 2 that much (yield). I did like the Short Stuff Strains though and plan to get more.

Thanks guys! My little sprout is 3 days old now, Mango Kush bagseed. I plan to LST the crap out of it lol. i'll snag a pic when I get a chance.

So heres my DIY PC Fan Carbon Scrubber

I used 2 x 120mm fan mesh filters
Cut out cardboard to preferred thickness
scissors
black gorilla tape
AC aluminum tape
activated carbon rocks

cut out the strips and tape to one side on mesh filter like so:

Then seal the corners

before adding the other screen cut a slit on the cardboard for later use.

Then tape the second screen to the carboard

Seal with the aluminum tape

pour activated carbon into the slit

Seal with sctoch tape so you can refill when the rocks get weak :D

I use the best stuff I can get my hands on.. Artic MX4 CPU thermal compound

And now with the new thermal compound applied I put it all back together - after a few days this mod brought my temps from 79 to 77 :) cheap and effective!

Nice clean case there. What did you do for light proofing? Also are you using passive intakes in the bottom. I want to finish my PC case after my my first grow.

Hi thanks man! I litterally sealed the case inside (only edges and corners) with black gorilla glue tape. I have 2 x 120mm fans for intake with dust filter on speed control.

What else can be used to seal the case? I need to find small nuts and bolts reseal my case. u can answer on this thread or mine. Thanks

Ive made about 6 variations with these cases. Ultimately went all out with a Fractal Design Define XL R2 Black Pearl Full-Tower. After my first experience with the mid tower ATX i realized i needed something more stealth and better built.

I ended up using this area for my top exhaust fan with scrubber and LED. Then sealed with tape.

I like to "seal" the box with the black gorilla tape and cut out cardboard the size of the square holes then tape over. Only seal the edges, corners and holes. Then install the side door you dont plan to open much, then seal that. Obviously it will never be "sealed" but the idea is to seal all the "holes". You only want to keep space for the intake, outake fans. Which is why I find cases with a front door PERFECT for microgrows :)


front door, then another door for the fan access which has a mesh for dust. Makes it really easy to clean with a vacuum and perfect for light leak issue.
