On an ironic side note. I have hurt myself so many times since I switched the focus of my electrical studies to 9v battery stuff.
Poked my thumb twice with ICs. Grabbed a 5v regulator to try to pull it off a circuit board, burned fingers and thumb, duh there is a reason those have heat sinks on them sometimes. Soldering iron had that thing smoking hot. Sure there is more, trying to forget.
I did have an LED driver from China shoot out a firework of sparks doing 1 light build. I think it was a defective product. I am glad I always did those experiments outside, and stood way back whenever I flicked the switch.
