Dragor, thanks for the words. I am usually having to pull the SCBB much too early due to timing issues with the rest of the room, I take her 56-63 usually... and you can tell she really wants 65-70 days.

The bud structure is almost identical, but sub manages to trim them so nice. Mine come out pretty leafy overall... I'm still interested in growing the madness to see for myself becuase it looks like a fantastic strain. Also to be fair to my budshots, they were hardly dialed in at all. Chili_berkster has better-happier scbb. The organic scbb nugs I grew look spot on the same as madness, always a bit diff and darker green leaves in hydro.

Neptune nice recap of your experience with Salmon brotha...thanks!
your comparison of SCBB in hydro vs organic adds to the reasons why i stay away from hydro - i.e., the risk of giving too much unnecessary nutes and preventing from maximal flower to leaf ratio, and as always the case major taste suffrage... we'd all love to catch sight of that organic Scbb you did :) gonna go check out chili's shots thx again 4 da info!

and preventing from maximal flower to leaf ratio
I don't see where hydro has much to do with that. I ran the same strain in hydro and soil and not a significant difference. If you're hydro nute program is messed up then sure more leafy. You're enviro setup has something to do with it also. I've noticed pruning at the right time supports a better F-to-L ratio as it forces the plant to blow the buds up to 'survive'.

Here's a shot of the strain I mentioned grown soil and actually the hydro buds were a bit larger but no increase in the flower-to-leaf ratio.

I've been seeing pics of Madness for a year now and wondering the best approach to training/pruning it.
