Fertilizer Mixer
well after finishing the grow computer and it's working without issues since 2 years now...
it's time for something new... ;-)
the problem:
mixing fertiliser and additives every time in a grow is also some kind of lala...
a lazy grower like me often forget wht week we are when i'll fed last time and so on..
also to change mixture over time is also nothing cool for lazy growers... and others too i'll guess ...
especially if you grow long long flowering sativa ...
here is a chart from Bionova for advanced growin... Biobizz have the same as many others...
well i#ll only use the half or little more as the half as it's stated ... that works very well... but it's lot of mixing every time you feed... and if in a hurry like me often... you easily make mistakes etc...
the Solution:
those are peristaltic pump's and are controlled via a raspberry pi... it was just a quick test to use those for mixing the basics ... now i'll do a new with 10 pumps... so that all my fertiliser has a own pump and with the raspberry i'll control the dosage. On the Raspberry is a simple program that looks what time it is and than makes the correct dosage... if there is a special request like more N or P or K etc... i'll can type in the extra amount and voilla... absolute precise... no messing around ... no cleaning after every use... fool proof and you can really fine tune your grow... can make for every plant a special combination... like more N if she is very hungry and need more as the others... often my problem too if i'll grow all different crosses some are really hungry other get too much than.... doesn't matter if you make a make 1 or 10 L 100 mL or 10000 mL ... always the right mix... you can make your own presets for every plant... compare later and have always the right receipt @ hand...
think this would make growers live much more easy...
project works also with a ESP32... but has not a nice interface... only a webpage to set up...
so Raspberry Pi + Touch Display (170€) + 10 Peristaltic Pump (200€) + some extras for pumps(Servos) (30€)
a nice case made with 3D printer in a shop... + Silicon pipe... all in all around 500€.
think will pay back in no time...

this was the prototype of the grow computer... uses esp32... it controls everything electric... LED, UV, IR... dimmable ... Vents and extras... measures air temp & humidity... regulates the exhaust vent than... measures the soil temp, conductivity, light intensity etc... and tells me what's up on a nice webpage with all parameters...

those are the back side 4 x relay for power control... light, vent, exhaust...
same here... you can make a schedule for light and set max temp and get warning etc... see how hungy they are when to water... helps a lot when busy with other things in life... can work stand alone with a webpage and wifi connection ... but i'll prefer also a raspberry pi with a nice self made interface...
those little devices can make growers life much more relaxed and really help to make perfect grows that are repeatable... and that's the key... once you found your mix... load & safe ;-) ...
setting up a system for exchanging Mixtures/Prescriptions...
and after some time you have a nice data base with most used fertiliser and there mixture for every plant...
thinking about to make it open source...
those stuff need to be free and accessible for everyone...
what can be better as to see more happy growers that make top grow's every time ...
that's pure happy than... not to sell it for a dime ;-)
