i want to get the sentinal chh1 and introduce some co2 but im running 2000w of digital lumatek ballasts in the next room, roughly 6 ft away from where the sentinal would be mounted. am i going to get interference? is it the ballasts or the sockets messing up the sniffer/sensor? I also heard brass mesh blocks rf noise has anyone tried? thanks in advance.

Nah, RF interference on digital ballasts was resolved with RF shielding in the cords for them, your sentinel should be just fine but they do recommend keeping all digis 6' away from other electrical devices, I have 5 and never had a problem with other devices. As long as you don't have an old blue lumatek you're fine.

nice thanks for the speedy reply. 5 ballasts with no problems gives me confidence definetly, it also clears my only beef with lumatek digis. theyre 100% in my books

Well I'm using digis but Quantums, not Lumas. They were only $264 ea and had that new dimmer switch and came with both 120v/240v cords, couldn't resist. Let us know if you have any problems, the cage you mentioned in you original post is called a Faraday cage, good stuff on wikipedia.
