Lowryder 2

krepis > yeh that's the male, it's not for collecting pollen just for keeping it from spreading it the hours a day it was under the HPS getting quality light, the other hours it was in a window in another room without the hood - left it a little too long under the hood one day and fan leaves started to rot hehe.

tekeenator > definitely - I hope my next grow will demonstrate this strains potential better.

waydee > first time I tried that moroccan 'strap&slap' method, but not the last! It's fun (if you don't have "job" quantitites) and amazing how much shake you get before the quality deteriorates.

Might as well continue the next grow in this thread as it, due to various reasons, will be LR2 again.

The plan is to end up 40 females and bust the grams/watt ratio of any other strain grown SOG - might be optimistic..

Will return with more pics when there is something other than jiffy pots, seedlings and temporary crappy solutions to show

While LowRider is cool for what it is, a small autoflowering plant. all the smoke reports ive seen say this plant sucks compared to other strains and is in essence little more than a novelty strain. "hey wook at the witty bitty weed pwant"

well lets let maxe, the one who has first-hand experience with lr2, decide. the original isnt all that good (from my expereince) but the lowryder 2 has gotten good reports from every grow ive seen.

Deft > ohh it's THAT pic that made ppl talk about bananas  - as Ganico said it's a full on male that turned herma in the top due to stress - which, from my calculations shouldn't make it able to pass on herma genes.

I can only say that to me the potency is about the same as any other random hybrid strain such as NL, Big Bug, WW etc. - No doubt there is something more potent than this but there is definitely also a lot that is worse (semi-crappy outdoor strains etc.)
Furthermore I have heard that the LR1 has a boring and bad earth flavor whereas these were over in the fruity - > slightly skunky range.

As the first grow was a combined test/seed grow I must admit that I already smoked what little product I ended up with so the cured bud pics and the fully cured serious smoke report has been postponed a couple of months hehehe

can't send you a pm so i'll ask you here about F2 seeds of LR#2:

how are those f2 seeds that you have made? are they producing some good plants? i'm about to make some and i'm curious about f2's of LR#2. do they retain 100% autoflower and ~9 wk from seed to bud?

Govanac > I gave almost all the seeds away and only grew 6 of them myself - they got very different conditions than the first batch so I can't compare anything really....they did retain the autoflowering tho.

Of the seeds given away I have only seen pics from 1 guy - he grew them in a window so can't compare them to mine either, altho they were also autoflowering so I think you are safe to make some F2s yourself =)

edit: oh and so the earlier promised postponed pics are nonexistant... but there is nothing to complain about, about this strain. However I will never grow these indoors again as there are SO many more interesting strains for that - in my opinion these have their rightful place either for small closet growers with height problems, outdoors to fill 'holes' in the garden, outdoors for more stealth than a taller plant or just to get a decent smoke every 2 months all summer.

I grew and are still growing lr2 outside and there is nothing low about them if you give them enough root space.
Many of the plants that didnt get stunned by slugs and bad weather got over 1 meter tall.
