Low Wattage Space Heater

Hey all,

Was looking around for a low wattage space heater and found this:

http://www.eheat.com/

It's not a normal space heater, it's a flat panel heater that mounts to the wall. It's only 400-watts and can efficiently heat a 100 sq ft room.
They even make thermostats that go with them, it's basically a climate controller. You can get the heater for $90 and the thermostat for $40. The thermostat will work with any electric heater or electric Air Conditioner, it'll just do what a climate controller does - turn the device on when it hits a certain temperature.

Just thought I'd post this because it seems relatively inexpensive, and efficient to run (only 400w). Hope this helps someone!

I just returned a 1500 watt model that was useless in a 100 sq ft room. Foot warming maybe or, a small closet but, not much else.

That's odd... I currently own a 1500watt heater and it works great for a 12x20 room. But that room isn't a grow room, lol - its just my living room.

It even has an option to run at 600w, 900w, or 1500w, I can heat the room up fine using only 600w. You just need to keep the door closed

I prefer the ceramic heaters. The one I got from Home Depot cost only 40 bucks and has three settings. First is 400m then 800 and finally 1500 watts. I have not used it in a grow room as we usually around here have problems with too much heat, but this one has a built in thermostate and it works great. What I like the best is it's auto shut off if it gets unlevelled or falls over. It's an extra security feature, but I think a lot of the new ones have this built in. I had ours for over 2 years an it heats my whole basement in the winter months. I think it would be great for a grow room may be 12 by 18 or something, now I just have to remember the name of the unit.

I was just talking about the micathermic flat panel type. My 1500 watt forced air radiant cooks the room beyond comfort within the hour. The micathermic ran all day on high and I never took my sweater off. Coulda' got a bum model I suppose. For a small growroom, especially one with lamps, it could be enough.
