Lost my Angel.

I just had to put my dog down, it's byfar the hardest thing I have EVER had to do.
She was 3, my best friend and guardian of my home and family.
My wife and I have been crying for hours and possibly days and then who knows...
I spent the last 3 days expecting her to get better, like the though she might not come had never ever entered my mind.
We so wanted her to meet her new best friend, my baby girl is due to be born this decemer.
Did we wait to long to bring her to the vet, did we bring her somewhere that made her sick, is it somthing she ate, I keep asking these ?
The house is empty, no barking at neighbours, no whining jealously while I cuddle my wife, the yard is full of toys and the house too, I never though the sound of a squeeky toy could make me cry.
I am angry, I am sad, I am lost...

Angel baby we love you, watch over baby like yo where still here...

My heart goes out to you and your wife. My dogs are my family and I know it will hurt the day I have to face one of their passings.

Continue to be honest with your feelings, your wounds will heal quicker.

Here's to Angel

Peace

Woke up to an empty house this morning, usually she is sleeping on the sofa in the morning sun.
The empty house is the worse part, the doorbell rings and no barking before to let us know.
We emptied the house of her stuff, all of it, it's just too hard to face, the hardest was putting her toys away, to see her run around always put a smile on our face.

Thanks to all of you and your kind words, I dunno why I posted this and honestly it wasn't for the condolences although I appreciate them, I guess I needed to share this angry and sad feeling inside and give her a little tribute.

All the things I hated about having a dog in the beginning I miss now, I miss all of it.
I miss when I drop food in the kitchen and have to pick it up before she gets it, she was my cooking buddy.
I'll miss her attacking my rake in the fall, I'll miss her barking at us to take her into the pool in the summer.
This neighbourhood is filled with her friends, small and big dogs alike, everyone will no doubt ask where she is and everytime I'll have to relive this whole ordeal in my mind again.

Again thanks to all of you, for a bunch o folks I've never met you have been very supportive.

Losing a pet is like having a chunk of your heart ripped out. I am sorry to hear about your lose. I went through the same thing a couple of years ago so I understand your pain. Best thing to do is go out and get yourself a new puppy , You would be suprised how much it helps. Anyway take care and hope things gewt better for ya.

Many thanks for your support, things are slowly starting to get better.
My wife and I are agreed that we want to wait before we get another pet.
We have a baby on the way, 60 days to go and we'll have a new addition that will no doubt be enough of a handfull.
Besides she was a super dog, i mean it she obeyed to a T, was friendly and supprisingly not yappy for a small dog, I'd be very lucky to find one like her.

I'm glad I posted this, it's odd but it makes me feel better.
Peace

My dogs are literally like children to me.....damn i refer to them as my sons! Reading this has got me real emotional, i cant begin to imagine how you feel....just remember memories live forever, also when you think about her think of all the love you gave her and how good a life she had with you....looks a beauty in the pics and full of joy too.
Peace
