Losing virginity

I'm just getting started at this with some crib notes from a friend...came across a grow bible today that will probably school me, but I'd like any info that can help these babies thrive...they have great genetics and I'd hate to limit their potential...thanks for any help given.

Hey blacksailz fill this out to help us.

How long has this problem been going on?
What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
How Tall are the plants?
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each with how much water? How Often? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering?
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's?

Well, I'm mostly just trying to get a good start/strain=blue sonya x ?/grown from seed/1week old/around 2 in tall/still seedlings, initiating 1st true leaves/using generic red party cups until reaching vegi state, then plan to transplant to larger pot, one to a cup right now, not sure how many will go in bigger pot/medium=soil w. worm poo/right now city water every 3 days without letting it dry out/no thermometer right now, but with open windows 24/7 65-75 degrees during daylight, 60-70 degrees at night/air flow throughout place circulated by 2 fans, neither blowing directly at plant/no pests and no pest chemicals as of yet

The light is a little to far away and they are stretching for the light. Also keeps temps around 78-85 in the closet. If its to cold all the time then they will grow slowly.

Lookin better! If some of those stretchy guys get to top heavy, stake em with a small stick and a twist tye to stand em straight.

Have you gotten any other gardening utensils? Like thermometer?

:smoke:

yeah, we got a thermometer with a humidity gauge. we're having some trouble finding a heating pad that we trust on the floor, so it's a little cooler than we'd like in there, about 73 degrees. and i don't know how to make it more humid in there. right now it's about 50%, which, according to the humidity gauge, is "normal."

Yeah dont buy a heating pad for the floor, buy a seedmat at the hydro store. Your humidity is fine at 50.

I would start looking for some larger pots for transplant. Square pots save space. I wouldnt go less than 1 gallon. Bigger the rootball the bigger the buds.

Also have you started thinking about nutes?

Hmmm it may just be mutant genetics. It sounds bad but sometimes mutants are crazy good smoke. If they just arent growin much then i would cull them, but if they are growin well i would keep em.

I could have sworn this was another one of those Yummybud posts :muahaha: :pointlaug : :muahaha:

When has yummy ever posted pix of his grow? Why would you arbitrarily accuse blksailz of that?

You can also bury them deeper if vertical space is limited. Growth will stall for a week or two as they grow new roots at the surface.

 Ha ha! I thought Yummybud too! But I knew it wasnt cuz yummy will never get that far! :muahaha: :asskick:  :muahaha:
Like the first dude said tho, u should move the light closer.

Well, those mutants have matured nicely...I've culled all but 4 and transplanted... :violin: the culled ones had great potential and none were dying, but I don't want too much competition over resources (ie light/CO2) in such a small space...this grow had a slow and unimpressive start, but I think they're coming along nicely...getting nutes now.

I woulda waited until you knew which ones were females - you may have just chucked a couple of girls for males that you won't be able to use.
