I'm going to record my closet grow in the fall of 2016 for my own benefit mostly, but who knows, someone else might find it interesting or even helpful! Today I mixed the soil

Equal parts and now it will cook for over a month.

The soil builder said 2 gallons of each ingredient for a strong feeder and 5 gallons of each for a mild soil mix. I went with 3 gallons of each ingredient, not sure if this is the best way to go for long flowering sativas. The strains are Wild Thai( 11-13 wks, World of Seeds), Purple Haze Thai( 16-18 wks, Ace), and Zamaldelica(11-14 wks, Ace).

In my next update I'll show my setup. Now it's time to smoke some of my last indoor grow- Dj's Gold. This one makes me sleep;)

I see you might know about long flower sativas indoor.

You can say that. :tiphat:

I have done Ace's Oldtimer Haze, RSC Highland Thai, RSC Kerala.

I'm finishing up some RSC Kerala now along with a NL/Oldtimer Haze cross I made.

1. I recommend you start them in small pots for starters.

2. Go light on the nutrients. Especially the nitrogen.

Once you get to 50 posts you'll be able to PM.

I'm reading your "how to manage sativas indoors", just what I needed. What do you mean when you say PM?

Never mind Corky, I just read the forum rules. I broke my own rule when I asked the question before trying to answer it myself. My bad

I've seen worse. Don't stress over it.

Do check all the menus, forums, etc. and oh yeah rules. :tiphat:

Thanks ww! And welcome. It'll be a long one, I plan on harvesting the purple haze Thai in January, but that's a long way away we'll see if it unfolds as I envisioned it

Supposedly the Wild Thai by World of Seeds is not as wild as the name suggests.Oh my gosh Guawi? I want to try it. You'll love the Zamaldelica and the Purple Haze Thai too.
Kali Mist should be great too otherwise doobie wouldn't have used it for his Kali China project.

I wouldn't be shocked if the wild Thai isn't everything claimed, but I can hopefully get a non-hybrid high from it. I've grown the Kali before and it was one of the better ones. I grew Kali in 2000 organically, and non organic in 2015. The more recent run had nothing on the first run. Not sure what to credit. It may be part of the organic but also the first run was a lot of beginners luck.

So guawi are good? I only ordered them to get the purple haze Thai freebie. Guess I did well with my random pick

..never had a guawi myself but heard only good things about it, a great malawi cross..but ACE don´t produce that strain anymore for several years, which makes them kind of rare but also maybe 5 years old or so..but if they were stored properly you should have quite good germination : ) by the way, the other strains you chose are also pretty nice and at least the zamaldelica is on my "need to grow this" list

The setup I'm using is an ikea closet with inside dims of 18"x28"x72". This closet is within my walkin closet and doesn't even crowd it.

The grow medium is described earlier in thread and the pots are either 2 or 3 gallon, not sure see pic below. I will however start flower in 6" pots to limit the stretch as suggested by Corky1968(which makes me think of the '68 Chevy C20 I learned to drive on).

In the closet I have a 4" in line fan and a carbon filter. My light is a Mars hydro II 900 that puts of so much heat and was so cheap I worry about it catching fire. Anyone ever hear of a mars catching fire?

The light makes dense buds even though it is cheaper than I'm comfortable with. This setup keeps me around 82deg and 30%rh during the day. I have just purchased an oversized fan to match my oversized light. It is a six-inch and will hopefully keep my daytime temperatures closer to 76, although 82 might be great for sativas

I will be growing the Guawi a year from now I think. If it's super good I'll meet you at the space station and we'll get lifted:D

Quick update, not much new. Turned over my cooking soil. Will install the 6" fan this week and considering going against my wife's wishes and starting the grow as soon as the soil is ready. She did not want me to start until fall because it heated up our bedroom so much. But with the new 6 inch fan I doubt she will notice ;)
