Chinese Shar Pei

Chinese Shar Pei

They were better than having a gun while camping in Baja!
The dogs were, 'Zen' (tan) & 'Ursa' (black), both rescued Chinese Shar Pei's. My sister-in-law breeds them and she would come across rescue dogs once in a while & we took them in. We love the breed, we've had at least one or 2 for the last 25 years.
Here's Ma-li (Molly) or current rescued Shar Pei. Ferociously loyal
Good Girl!

hiya, yeah jj, can see in new photos that there sharpais, i have heard a lovely breed to own, had a bit of a problem over here [uk] with breeders causing pups to inherit skin folds around the eyes which would result in dog needing a operation to rectify the problem, hopefully the breed dont suffer from this now, a very handsome dog you have there jj, cheers,,,,, peace s2

Yeah, that used to be a problem here too. Both Zen & Ursa had eye surgery. But our last 2 including Ma-li haven't needed it.

They're the "Chinese Temple Dogs". Shar Pei's were bread 1000 years ago to guard Chinese Temples. One of the oldest know dog breeds.

Wonderful breed

I love that pic of the dogs on the beach at Baja . It looks like they are either just enjoying the fresh air & the veiw or having a conversation about their holidays

"Really enjoyed chasing those lobsters today but i`m getting a bit worried "

"Why"?

" He`s talking about the size of a whales penis , & from what he said there is no barking way i`m gonna chase them big bastards ."

Stay safe d jj

hiya jj, great that all is well, been to the track, man after my own heart, love the track, as you can see many years now with my favorite german build, nascar v f1, for me although i love porsches, i would be tempted to let them go for a 60s ford mustang-shelby, bit of a cliche cos of bullitt etc, but a neighbour has a beauty, not a shelby but a drop-top in the most lovely imo green/blue colour, i think ultramarine is actual colour, he was given it by his very elderly miss marple looking mother who had it shipped over directly from us in the late 60s/very early 70s, you would not associate this car with this little old lady but respect to her, i have said if he thinks about letting the car go in the future,to please give me 1st refusel, all it appears to need is tender loving care and a wheel refurb, here in the uk, the older mustangs fetch good money,so may be a future project, so over to you jj, what ya driving? unless i got it wrong as just realized you could be horse racing, good to hear from you my brother, peace and safe growing s2

My Mid-life crisis!

My Mid-life crisis!

Here's a couple of shots of my "Mid-life crisis" car.
Not long after attending my co-workers retirement & funeral in the same month, I leveraged everything I had & bought CSX4795 a Shelby 427 Cobra!
I owned this beast for 5 glorious years, until I couldn't afford to keep her any longer.
Hella scarry car to drive. I ALMOST wrecked TOO many times. It was pure luck, I never did!

hiya, jj,,,,, that is a total piece of art, absolutly beautiful, write your own check for that beauty over here in uk, i was fortunate enough to be a passanger in an ac, although driver was very experienced and skillful, the car was a total handfull [in the best sense of the word] and i imagine undriveable in the wet as my old 911 was but yours looks so good in the black, i imagine it was heartbreaking to let her go but better for safety, same reason i let 911 go[and it was coming to rebuild time as well], too many people ending up wrapped around trees hence her nickname "the widowmaker" but your old car is in another world, you very rarely see them as mint and fresh out of the box as yours, quite a coincidence also that i mentioned the legend mr shelby in my last post, strange world, peace and thanks jj,,,,,regards s2

Motocross!

Motocross!

Hey bro, the only reason I posted the Cobra was because you mentioned Carroll Shelby. He was quite a character. I met him once at a Shelby convention in Las Vegas & got him to sign the visor of CSX4795.
He will be missed!

What I'm racing now is Motocross. Yamaha YZ450F & YZ250F
I don't ride, I support my foster grandson.
He's a very accomplished amature motocross racer. I have posted pictures of him racing a few pages back in this thread. We'll be racing in the US Amature National Motocross Championships next week!

Here's a pic

Dubs! Glad you're back and I hope you enjoyed your vacation! That is one badass car, man. Sorry you had to let her go, but at least you got to enjoy her for a while.

I still have a dream of owning either a '67 GTO convertible or a '63 Impala. If I had my way, I'd have a classic car for each day of the week!

Wishing your grandkid the best in his career. Having fun is the most important thing and winning is like icing on the cake. Take care, dubs.
